Hi,

We just got back from our 4th Disney Cruise - did them all - 4-day, Eastern 7-day, Western 7-day using our points over the past few years. Had wonderful times on all of them. Now, we're looking to expand and branch out cruise-wise...has anyone used their points booking the Alaskan cruise? Would you recommend it for a family of 4 - 2 kids - 20 and 17 for next summer? Are there many older kids on the cruise - my son insists he'll be bored!!
Did you have any difficulties booking the cruise, and is there anything you wish was done differently?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

We've been twice to Alaska on Holland America -- once prior to DVC and just this summer on points. We love it! If your kids are into nature or the outdoors at all they will LOVE Alaska and won't be bored. The ship crowd, especially on Holland America, tends to be a bit older. It's definitely not a big party ship, but we saw half a dozen teens. A lot of the crew is younger, so they'd probably get a kick hanging out with them in the Crow's Nest in the evenings.

There's a whole, LONG thread that's been running for a while now on this that should answer your other questions...
