Well this is the second time I've made a mistake with exchanges. Basically, I exchanged for Hawaii, and changed my mind, so I changed that to Aruba. When i reserved it they did say the first reservation was cancellation and I would not be able to change it again.

Trouble is, I can't find decent connecting flight from Orlando to Aruba (it's for honeymoon half dvc and half caribbean). Do I have any other options, aside from trying to rent out the Aruba exchange on TUG? Thanks.

call them back and see.

generally II doesn't care how often you cancel - hey they make money everytime you do it. but DVC might????

tell DVC your problems and see what they come up with - sometimes they might find you a cheaper fly than anything you can find.

You'd undoubtedly have many more options to Aruba flying out of Miami (MIA) than from Orlando. You might want to make Miami your entry and exit point from the US. Lot better connections to the UK, too, and you could rent a car for the Orlando part of your stay. It's about 4 hours from MIA to WDW, unless you get caught in rush hour in South Florida -- rush hour will add an hour.

My experience has been different. I know of many cases of the second cancellation being tough luck. But II tends to be more flexible in a retrade. Basically you get something else while on the phone rather than simply canceling the current exchange. At least one person has stated they were successful in avoiding another fee even outside the initial 24 hour window.

Thanks for all your help. We have found a pretty good flight going via Miami, which is good. When we first exchanged we read fantastic reviews on tug, but recent ones have been not so good due to beach construction etc.

We were considering renting the ressie out, and staying in Jamaica, which is a shorter flight. We read many good reviews of Jamaica, on trip advisor, but after reading hundreds, we are wondering if a lot of trip advisor reviews are planted, because some are saying Jamaica is safe to walk on the beach, for a single woman at 3am!

Does anyone have any experience of both Aruba and Jamaica? We all love DVC, so we should have similar tastes. Thanks.
