Points Booking Question

We just received our points for 2017 on a new DVC contract. Our use year is June. We want to take a vacation in July 2018. If I understand the rules correctly, I must bank my 2017 points before I can make the reservation for July 2018. Or since I am going to make the reservation in the next day or two do they not have to be banked? Just trying to make sure I don't do anything stupid. Thanks!

If you want to use the June 2017 UY points for that reservation, they must be banked before you make the reservation.

Use Year is a factor based on the dates of your stay. It has nothing to do with when you call (or go online) to book.
