Points and cash?

Hi,

This might have been asked before and it might also be a dumb question but I was wondering if we can can do a night stay using some DVC points and the rest cash. For instance, if AKV is 9 points for a standard view and you only have 6 points left, can you use those 6 points and pay the rest in cash? Would they have a way of figuring it out? My gut is saying no but I would rather be 100%.

They cannot divide up the room between cash/pts in a single night.

You can buy up to 24 points per year direct from Disney at $15/point. This will be cheaper than paying cash - I'd max out the # days I can using this, then consider making the trip a split with Pts/cash. (or in my case I transferred in pts from another owner)

Also note, there is no guarantee you will be in the same room when the switch over happens.... but you can try to have the reservations linked by adding a request and double checking at check-in (don't do online check-in)
