Greetings Friends!
I am trying to help a friend go to WDW on my points and I could use a few suggestions/pointers on how I can do this most efficiently

The details:
- My friends family will be a total of 10 people (1 is an infant)
- They are wanting to go over veteran's day week (11/7->11/13) due to kids having a short week at school
- They HAVE to see the Spectromagic parade.
- I have 306 points to use/borrow for them

My first thought was to cram them into a 2BR, but MS frowns on more than 8 people in a room. What type of trouble would I get myself into if I knowingly did this?

My second thought was to pile them into a a Grand Villa, but I don't have the points for a full week, so I thought I would book the cheap nights with my points then let them pay cash for the weekend days. any thoughts on this?

Then I thought, well maybe I can get them by with 3 sutdios, but I am not sure if I could get 3 studios next to each other (or if that is even possible to do in the first place).

And then various combinations thereof: 2BR+studio, points for weeknights/ cash for weekends.

If ANYONE can give me some advice on how to try to tackle this, I would be GREATLY appreciative.

thank you in advance,
Jess

Check out on the 13th and you'll have enough points for 6 nights in a studio plus 2 BR at any of hte resorts. This would be my recommendation. You will not have enough points for 7 nights even at OKW for the two rooms. The second alternative would be a 2 BR at OKW if you decided to cram them into one unit.

I would get them a GV. 8 people in a 2 bedroom is really a lot of people, let alone 10 plus an infant. With a GV they will have enough bathrooms and beds for everyone. Rent a grand villa for 5 days.

may be okay at OKW depending upon ages of kids. I know this is frowned upon but OKW does have a love seat that could be used for a small child, just bring your own sheets. Then you would have sofa sleeper, two queen beds and a king bed. Or you could have three kids sleep in king bed. I would not try to cram all of these people in a 2 bedroom anywhere else. You being a very nice person planning this for them. Good luck

Are you talking about this year? I would call and check availability before trying to decide. That's a popular time and you are within the 7 month window.

I agree! IIRC, the NJ teachers have a convention (no school) during this time, and all on site accomodations, including DVC fill up quickly. It's also Food & Wine Festival time. It's very possible that there will be very limited or no availability for those dates.

Good luck - you're a dear for doing this for your friends!
