We are meeting our rep tomorrow to ask about adding points on at BWV. Has anyone been lately and know if they have any incentives to buy direct from Disney.

Thanks for the info, the price they are quoting is $40 dearer than resale, think I will need to look at resale if this is what my rep offers me.

How come there is a big difference in prices, I bought at OKW just a few years ago with the added years but this has come dramatically from what we paid.

Not always, you just need to do the math. Sometimes on small contracts it is cheaper to buy direct. However, having said that, I don't thing it will be true with a BWV contract. No incentives at $115 per point. That's pretty hefty.

There are several BWV resale contracts out there with a Dec UY in the $65-$75/pt range. If you aren't looking for an exact number of points it would be worth waiting 6-8 weeks for the resale process in order to save $40-$50/pt.

Just seen dvc rep and like erionm said $115 per point and no incentive. Really disappointed in my rep she though that we were new buyers, she could have at least checked that we were already members.

Its been a week since it went to Disney for ROFR, We were told that it would take around 3 weeks before we are told if successful but has anyone heard before the 2 weeks as the suspense is starting to get to us, checking emails constantly and awaiting call from rep.

I wish I could give you a short timeline, but our resale took 29 days before Disney waived ROFR.

I have to admit that the waiting is the worse part about buying resale. Good luck and hopefully, your waiver will come through soon.

In January of 2009, we heard back in 15 days about passing ROFR. But, from what I have been reading lately, I think 3 weeks is about the average.

Whenever you start getting frustrated with waiting for ROFR, just remember you didn't bite on the direct sucker price and saved $40 per point!

Very true the $40 point saving we made will allow us to add on again but a smaller contract hopefully.

You would think that it they would be a little quicker so that you would be booking and spending money at the resorts even sooner.
