point trasfer question

can you transfer points that are banked. i have 2 akv contracts different use years oct 200 pt. mar. 100 pt. mar. has 84 banked points .can i transfer my 184 mar. points to oct year to use for stay.or do you have to make separate res. and have them linked,is that a big deal what is easiest thing to do when using points from 2 contracts.thanks

Points that are banked (or borrowed) cannot be transferred. You would have to make separate reservations and then request that they be linked. It's not a big deal unless you don't have enough points in one of the contracts to make a complete night's reservation. (You can't use points from both contracts to reserve a single night).

Why not transfer what you need from the October use year contract? Doesn't sound like that one has banked points. Transferred points retain their original home resort and use year, so it should matter which contract receives the points.

Sometimes, MS is a little more "forgiving" with respect to the one transfer rule if the two contracts are owned by the exact same people. My advice is to call MS and ask the CM how to best accomplish what you want to do with the points.

Banked points cannot be transferred. You would could make two separate reservations using the two accounts and then have those reservations linked. Since your Oct UY does not have banked points, you could always move what points you need for your trip into the March UY contract. Once those points are transferred, they cannot be put back. The points transferred to the new account will still retain their UY rules (i.e. if you move October UY points to March, they are still only available for reservations from 10/01/UY - 9/30/UY+1).
