Point to Point Transport to DLH (from Manhattan Beach)?

I'll be visiting my sister in Manhattan Beach in Dec with DD9. While she and kids are in school and work, we will spend a few days at DL, staying at DLH. I've gone over options with her, including metro, Uber, Lyft, LAX shuttle to DLH, taxi, and private transport. What are the suggestions from the locals or from those that have taken private transport to DL? Also, any pitfalls to be aware of.

Since we want to maximize the time at DL, I've decided that getting point-to-point transport, such as a town car, is my preferred option (but is more expensive than the shuttle). I have searched these forums and have come up with some private transport companies, including Gr8t Limo, LA private car service, Execucar, and Anaheim Town Car services. Also have looked at the yellow cab company and gotten quotes. All are similar in price, with the private companies trending a bit higher than the taxi.

In talking with a CM while making a tour reservation, and also in talking with my sister - they both recommended "Best Transportation" in referring to a company. When searching the net - I come up with many options, but none are the exact name "Best Transportation" (but apparently all of them offer "best transportation"!!), so if anyone knows which company this may be, let me know!

The general consensus on Uber/Lyft options is that when traveling a farther distance - in this case 31+ miles - is that these options are a bit pricier and less of a good option. Therefore, it is not likely I would choose these for this particular situation.

We want to get picked up at approx 6am on a Monday. We are EST, so this shouldn't feel too bad to us even after a few days of travel. We plan to get to DLH and drop off our bags, get tickets and head to the park followed eventually by an early to bed night.

TIA!

The thing about shuttles is they charge significantly more when your pickup or drop off isn't an airport. For a point to point service it won't be that much cheaper than a town car service. Have you priced a rental car? Even with parking factored it in it may be less than many other options.

If a rental car is a possiblity, there are companies that have offices located either on property or very close by. You would be able to drop off your car quite conveniently. And sites like MouseSavers often have coupons for car rentals.

Yup, rent a car. There is an Alamo location right on Disney property very near the DLH.
