Point Rental Question

All,
First off, forgive me if this question is in the wrong place. I currently have a cash reservation for a WDW resort for 12/6-12/14. I am interested in exploring if there are any DVC 1-BR units available for that time period at BWV, BCV, VWL, or OKW. If so, then I would be interested in finding someone to rent point from. Based on everything that I've read here, I believe that the chances of finding availability is SLIM to NONE, so rather than try to rent the points and wasting time there, I want to know if there is a way to check inventory as a non-DVC owner.

No, there is no way for anyone, including DVC members ,to see availability at DVC resorts except by calling DVC Member Services. Member Services will only provide information to DVC members.

You will need to post your request on the DVC Rent/Trade Board and see if a member can check on availability for you. If there is no availability at this moment, there may be later on - the DVC reservation system is very active and changes constantly - so even if someone did check for you, another member could get a different response by calling 15 minutes later.

The timeframe you are looking for is one of the most popular times for DVC member to go to WDW and usually gets booked up at 11 months out. OKW might be the only one you have any chance at all to get. Plus, one bedrooms usually are available longer than studios, GV or two bedrooms.
