Point borrowing/banking question?

Hi,

I am new to DVC and on the verge of purchasing at SSR with the $10 sale.
I have a general question about the point system.

If I make two seperate reservation through MS for two seperate stays, one using my 05 points (or most of them) and one using my borrowed 06 points (and the few remaining 05 points), then I cancel the first reservation within 6 months of my use year.
Do the 05 points go back into my account?
Can I then bank them into 06? Will they let me use borrowed 06 point and not use 05 points?

Points released by a cancelled reservation will be returned to the Use Year of the cancelled res. If they are current points, they may be banked subject to normal banking deadlines. If they were borrowed and you have another reservation already booked at the same home resort, MS will usually reallocate the borrowed point to that reservation and free up current points to be banked (agaon, subject to banking deadlines). The borrowed points will NOT be returned to their original Use Year.

SO if I have two possible weeks and am not sure which, but want to book 11/7 months out... that would be the way to do it.. as long as I cancel within the first 6 months so I can bank the original points...

the only disadvantage is I have to use the banked points the follwing year... so I have to go to WDW again..
