Just back from 12 nites at POFQ. It was our first visit here and it is now our new favorite moderate over CBR. Much smaller, quieter and more compact. Easy to walk anywhere, pool, laundry, bus stop, etc. We were in bldg. 3 which we would ask for again.

Thanks for posting! We will be staying at this resort for the first time in November. I keep reading great things about this place.

Did you like the fact that it was so small? That is something that appeals to us. I have always read that people request building 5. What did you like about Blg 3? Did you try the boat to DTD? Also how was the food court?

We've never been to POFQ before- it seems so nice! Couple of questions-
Did you go on a carriage ride? Where do you start? I heard you have to go over to POR to board the carriages.

Is the boat to DTD nice? Is POFQ the first stop? Seems like I've heard about long waits at POR.

Is it really easy to get around? We stayed at CSR a few years ago, and it was way too big for me.

We did not take the boat to DTD, but drove.

We liked bldg. 3 as it was very quiet nad not too near the pool. Bldg. 5 is next to the pool which is open until 11 or 12.

The food court was on par with CBR.

Yes we liked the fact that the resort was smaller and easier to get around than CBR.

I am going first week in August and my DD picked this out... When I looked into the FQ I saw the number of rooms and freaked... I thought - too large - over a thousand rooms... it be nasty packed crazy ewww... then I saw the size of the other disney moderates ...

booked the FQ.

We'll be there August 9th for 8 days. Have stayed many times before but not since the refurbishing...It is our fave moderate hands down!

Perfect size and esy to get places too...Can't wait

I will be there 7/6!! This is my favorite resort. We love the small size, we usually stay in Bldg 2.

Hi! We are staying there 8/14-22. We requested building 5 for the convenience. I was wondering, if you stayed on the side of the building that did not face the pool, could you still hear noise? How late were people in the pool? Any info appreciated.

As we were in the parks to closing most nights, we were never in the pools late so I don't know how many people swam late or if the noise could be heard on the far side of bldg. 5.

Since many others on this board choose that bldg., maybe they can answer.

The coffee pots are four cup and take the standard four cup filters.

JungleSkipper,

Yes everything in the the resort is "neat and pretty".

Look for hidden Mickey's on the Bedspreads and on the fabric covering the two chairs in the rooms.

New paint, carpeting, mattresses, etc. in the rooms.

A great place to stay while at WDW.

I also prefer the "smallness" of POFQ to CBR when it comes to moderates. Instead of using the coffee pot in the room, I just went out early and filled my re-fillable mug with coffee. Alot less messy. However, then you have to drink that NESCAFE stuff they refer to as coffee. I always deal with it for the convenience. I forget what real coffee tastes like until I get to Kona.

But I gotta have my coffee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree that the coffee is BLAH! Being in the navy, I have had some seriously bad coffee, but the NESCAFE is terrible....lol

We are bringing some good stuff from home.

we love the pofq havent stayed sense the refurbishing we plan on staying on our next trip ( will be nice to be back) along with a stay at the poyl and a Disney cruise we usually stay at a moderate and a dulex on our trips we find this makes our trips more magical we love the fact that pofq has elavators we usually request bldg 5 garden view very quiet along with the boat ride to down town disney
