Pofq???

I heard it will be open in late December of 2003. Perhaps someone else can confirm that. I can't remember where I read it but it seems that is the target time, now.

I too heard December 2003 from a CM when I called to get pricing for our trip next year. This was last April. We are hoping it is true, but judging the misinformation received before the AP rates came out, who knows.

Sorry everyone but just read on www.wdwig.com that POFQ will be closed for two years, they are doing a major over haul.
Go to wdwig and click on accommodations, then click on POFQ and it will tell what they are doing.

I know I read that (at wdwig) when it was first posted but since then I heard that due to increase in room demand that they were going to open it up early -- by mid December of this year. But, one never knows as there are so many different stories going around. If you want, why not write Disney an email and ask. You might get the straight scoop that way. Or perhaps someone else knows.

The two year time frame apparently applies to the *entire* Port Orleans resort - French Quarter is just "phase one" of three phases.

Since I have friends who would like to stay at POFQ next February, I'm hoping this is correct.

Called Disney a week ago and they said that the two year time from is for POFQ and for POR. Said that POFQ is phase one and that POR is phase two. They will start on POR when they finish POFQ They will take two years combined. So POFQ should be finished well before two years just not sure when and neither was the lady I talked with. But she did say that POFQ WILL NOT be closed for two years. That was the total time for both resorts.
She did say that POR will be shut down in phases not all at once.

I am just wondering when they would start taking a reservation dedicated strictly to POFQ.

Ditto, dawgfan-

POFQ was our first Disney resort as a family and we'd love to be there in January!

I heard the same thing, that Port Orleans will be closed in stages over the two year period.
