Pofq - Which Bldg?

Heading to POFQ in August. Any preferences on which building to stay in?

I had kind of thought back by the river where it would be quieter, but I know
there are some expereinced folks here to give me their feedback....

We loved building 2 when we were there a few weeks ago. I think all of the resort is quiet so you can't go wrong. We were were in rooms 2243 and 2244 I think. It was 2nd floor next to the pool. Close to the lobby, food court, laundry. Great rooms!

Welcome to the DIS, Harry!

I've stayed in building four my past two trips, and it is very convient. It's just a minute or two to the food court and bus court, and less than five minutes to the pool and boat dock.

We stayed in bldg #5, 3rd floor, facing the courtyard. It was a great view, and so quiet! Close to everything, food, pool, river...

Have stayed in Building 2, 3rd floor facing the pool area. This side can be a bit noisy due to Teens in the pools late in the evening.

Recently stayed in Buidlign 3, facing one of the alleyways (their streets) This was nice and quiet.

As soon as you are away from the pool area, the noise leve drops significantly.

The resort is small, so there is not a long walk to anywhere.

Thanks to all of your responses!

It sounds like there's really not a bad spot.

My only issue is I don't want to be facing a parking lot, and I kind of would prefer not being right on top of a lot of noise.

I've been to Dixie landings twice....anf had a good but also a bad experience there with the above issues....

I was in building 3 when I went there, and even though I had a parking lot view, the trees and shrubs and benches are all placed so perfectly that you can't even see the parking lot or any cars!!
I liked building three because it was close to the bus-stop which was a big deal for me with an infant. Also,very close to the pool,food court,etc.
But like everyone else says, the resort is so cozy that you really won't have a long walk no matter where your room is..

Building five is delightful. We were on the courtyard side and found it to be quiet. There are also river view rooms there. We were conveniently located to pool, laundry and food court. It's also closer to the bus stop than the building on the other side of the pool.

I have requested building 3 everytime I've stayed at POFQ. I love that building but this time I will resist the temptation to request a building and just go where ever they put me

We like building 6 and always request it.

There is no chance of being next to a parking lot. You aren't next to a pool so there isn't a walk thru traffic or noise and the pool is just one building over. The walk to the bus stop is very short if you cut between buildings in building 4 and go the back way - even shorter I should say.
