I'm sure this has been asked before, but what is the cheapest option for transportation from Port Orleans French Quarter to Port Canaveral for a cruise? I know Disney transportation is $35 each way, per person. We only need transport from WDW to PC. I'm hoping there is something that beats that in terms of price. Suggestions are welcome!

Sorry, I should have included that information. Two adults, in their 40s. We'll each have at least a carry-on and a piece of luggage. I'll be coming off of doing the Dopey Challenge during Marathon Weekend, so I might have an extra suitcase, pending packing my running stuff.

Then I think that’s likely the cheapest. I believe we are paying $200 for private transportation in a SUV for three adults, five pieces of luggage from USO to PCl and that’s one way!

I haven't priced it out since the cost for DCL transfers went up to $39, but, in the past, for only 2 people, it was cheaper to use DCL transfers.

The only option that might be less expensive than DCL transfers is a couple of one-way car rentals, assuming you want to deal with renting and driving. But I'm not sure post-COVID rental rates are that low anymore.

I agree with the other posters. We have done DCL from POFQ several times. The only time it was close to cheaper to do other transfers was when we had 4 people. At that point it was $20 more for a private transfer so I took that option. You will probably leave POFQ around noon and arrive at the port around 1:30pm. If getting on the ship early is really important for you the extra money for a private transfer or car rental might be worth it to you.

Lately, the DCL bus has been arriving at the resorts at about 8:30am. Much earlier than before Covid!

We usually take an uber just because it means we don't have to sit on a bus - which, depending on your resort (in normal times) could make a few calls along the way. I ways refer to the time we were at the Grand Floridian and on the way back from PC we called at 7 resorts (first was All Stars) before we got dropped off.

It was actually 8:15 pickup for us on Oct 15! We were assigned boarding group 2 and were the first ones on the ship after concierge.
