We - a group of 12 - are staying at POFQ. Considering a meal at Chef Mickey's. If we chose to do that, I'm trying to figure out our options. (Don't want to use ride share.)

Bus to Magic Kingdom, Monorail to the Contemporary.
Bus to Magic Kingdom, walk to Contemporary.
Boat to Disney Springs, bus to Contemporary.

Am I overlooking an option? Your opinion on best option? Quickest, easiest or most fun? 5 of the 12 people have never been to Disney and I'm looking to wow them early on. :)

Bus to Magic Kingdom and walk to the Contemporary is the best option. But don't forget Disney says to allow 90 minutes if you go that route, just in case of traffic or a slow bus.

Why are you against a ride share or taxi? It would save you an hours time, and time is money at WDW.

I‘d bus to MK and take the monorail to the Contemporary.
I don’t enjoy that walk between the MK and the Contemporary.
I find it painfully long, hot and boring.

Truly? I did the walk with a cane this past October. It still took maybe 15 minutes? And I enjoy watching the monorail go by.

Truly. Not fun.

I thought it was because we normally do the walk in August when it’s super hot. But I felt the same way when I did the walk in December on a much cooler day.
I know the walk is not that long, but given the choice, I’d rather take the monorail.

All three work. Walking from the MK bus drop off to the monorail is probably the same distance as already being half way if took the direct walking trail. For the best “wow” factor, I’d think pulling into the Contemporary on the monorail would be best for that, rather than walking or on the bus from DS. Depending on the time of day planned for Chef Mickey’s, another option is bus to Epcot. Then monorail to TTC, transfer to resort loop monorail into the Contemporary. Nice sightseeing tour. Have fun.

Just didn't want the hassle of rideshare. We are already doing that for the "other" parks probably the next day. Guessing we'll need 4 shares for our group unless we pay for the XLs. I still haven't compared the prices on that.

Since we not staying at a monorail resort, I'm leaning toward bus to MK and monorail to Contemporary. Still weighing the options. Don't have my ADRs till next week so I'm not sure how tight our time will be yet either.

Thanks for the opinions.

Oh, I like that idea! Might try that in future when we have an ADR at CR and aren't in a hurry to get there!

Edited to add: @jlhmom75 , I don't know where you're going after Chef Mickey's, but if you're headed "home" to POFQ a ride on the monorail to the TTC and then to Epcot gives you the most scenic view of Epcot! Then bus to POFQ.
