Pofq -sold Out!

I'll be leaving next week, going back to POFQ for our first night on the 8th of October. We booked it months ago and called again tonight to see about rooms after the 16th, because we actually plan to stay longer, and they said its completely sold out.

I cant believe they're sold out in October. I know its small, but still. I think the Dolphin is also sold out. But, its not that big of a deal since were thinking of switching to another resort anyway, we're thinking we might go to Caribbean Breach for the rest of the stay anyway or maybe even the Grand Floridian, still deciding and probably wont decide until we're there, but I never would have thought there would be sell outs in October after Columbus day weekend.

I hope this doesnt mean overload in the parks, then again I'm used to Summer crowds so hopefully I'll still find the crowds to be very manageable in comparison.

I guess I'm not surprised. The country's population is growing and Disney is probably as popular as ever! It will probably get progressively difficult as years go by. Not to mention that this demand will make it easier and easier for Disney to increase its pricing. Unfortunate for us, but it's the nature of the beast.

Personally, I'm not sure if I'd wait until I got there to try to book another on-property room after already finding that 2 hotels are sold out. Good luck!

Try Expedia. I checked their website for October availability this morning and POFQ was listed as available.

We've been calling everyday for availability at POFQ at the end of october and keep being told this resort is completely booked for all of october and november. They have also told us CBR, WL, and AKL are all sold out as well. I think CSR is the only moderate with any availability. Good luck.

Also, are you trying to book with any kind of special discount? Passholder, AAA, FL Resident, etc.?

If so, they may not have have any discounted rooms available and hence your problem. I'm pretty sure they have many only available at regular rate.
