POFQ recreation questions

We are planning a trip to the World this Nov, and we decided on POFQ. It sounds great, but I have a couple of questions...

Carriage rides- do you have to go to POR to purchase and/or begin your ride?

Bike rental- available at POFQ or only at POR?

Boat to DTD- does it dock at POFQ as well as POR?

And, a bit off topic-

Buses- Is POFQ always the first stop, both coming and going?

Can't answer all of them, but I think I know some:

-Carriage rides- do you have to go to POR to purchase and/or begin your ride?
Yes, I * think* they leave from Riverside

-Bike rental- available at POFQ or only at POR?
Not sure, but again I think it is from Riverside

-Boat to DTD- does it dock at POFQ as well as POR
When were there in April, yes, the boat docked at both places. If the boat filled up at FQ it went right to DTD. If it was not full, we cruised down to POR and picked up people, then went to DTD.

-Buses- Is POFQ always the first stop, both coming and going
That was our experience. To us, the ride around Riverside was kind of long, but that could have been because we were anxious to get the parks. One afternoon we had own "private" bus to MGM because no one got on the bus at Riverside and were the only ones on board.

I was going to say that I think you can pick up a bike at POFQ.

Bike Rental - only at POR (its an easy walk)

Buses - the is the main reason I would always pick POFQ over POR....always does POFQ first

Just got back from POFQ. The carriage will pick you up at POFQ. It was beautiful. Wish we had done it. I saw most of the bikes at POR. The DD boat picks up in both places. It picks you up in both places and you get a scenic narrative along the way. Really nice. When we were there POFQ had buses exclusively. We did not stop at Riverside at all. But if you have a car I would use it. At least our experience with the buses was not a good one. But that could also be an isolated incident, since we only took the bus once.

On a side note, the cleaning people are the best at that resort. Our cleaning lady spoke no English but was so nice, she taught me some Spanish so we could communicate during our stay. When we gave her a nice tip on our last day she seemed very surprised so I don't know if many people tip, but it was well deserved since she was awesome!

Thanks everyone! I know we will have lots of fun- POFQ looks like a wonderful resort! Now I feel more prepared to take advantage of all the recreational opportunities offered there. DISers rule!

We just got back from the POFQ Monday.

The carriage rides and bike rentals are at the Riverside.

FYI - Do not rent the speedboats from the Riverside unless you want to go slow. Full speed for them is about 15 mph.
