POFQ in May - no AP, FL Res, or AAA discounts...?

Hi

Usually when we stay at a Disney resort, I don't call for a reservation until just before we go since it's usually a last minute thing because we live close, and I've never had a problem getting my first or second choice. Well, I called today for a May 6 & 7 reservation at POFQ and there were no discounted rooms available. :guilty: Is this unusual? She said there are plenty of rooms (standard and waterview) rooms available at regular rate. Do they ever open up additional rooms at one of the discounted rates? Any idea when the best time to try would be? I REALLY want to stay here...so I might just have to pay :sad2: rack rate.

Thanks for any and all advice!

I didn't check the AP website but you may be having the same problem I am with getting a AP rate for two nights.

I'm looking for 5/28 & 5/29 only for AP rate at either POP or POFQ. Cannot get just those nights at those two resorts. However, if it were to book three nights on the website w/AP (5/28-31) at those resorts, it would take the booking. I can get the website to show those two nights only at AP rate at CSR, CBR, Riverside and All Stars but I don't want those places. For the dates I'm looking for, it appears there is some minimum stay requirements at POFQ and POP.

I ended up booking POP at rack but will keep on checking closer to. Something may open up.

I had ressie with AAA discount at PORFQ for May 9-13. Because of airline changes I wanted to add another day. (May 8th) Well it wasn't available with the AAA so we switched to POR.

I could not get AP or FL rates at POFQ, CSR and only certain views in other areas...

Thanks for the info!! My SIL had ressies at POFQ and could not get the AAA rate. She had been calling for weeks. I told her about the cancellation and she called and was able to get AAA rate for 5/6-5/13. :Pinkbounc
Thanks again.
