Hi All ~ I booked FQ for April 2006 and building 5 looks good to me...any comments? S

We were in building 4 in Oct. and it was a wonderful location. I am sure building 5 wouldn't be that much different. Close to the main building, bus stop and pool. Have fun!

we stayed in bldg 5 May 2003 and it was very convienient to everything..we were on the backside facing the parking lot, however, there were beautiful gardens that blocked our view of the lot. Seemed quieter than facing the pool but pool was only about 45 second walk from our room....the POFQ is very small....I think the farthest away was the bus stop and took us about 2 minutes to get there.

we stayed in building 5 in september (rm 5204) and it was a perfect location, we were overlooking the pool and were in the middle of the corridor between 2 sets of steps, one set down to the pool, the other set down and across into the foodcourt. Only problem we had was the elevators were right around the other side of the building, but POFQ is so small nothing is very far away anyway.

We liked Building #5, and thought the Garden side away from the Pool was quieter. We had a car, so it was closer to our parking also.

We loved building 5. Our room was on the 3rd floor right next to the stairs on the end that leads you to the food court. We were overlooking the spa. We hiked the stairs down and rode the elevator up since it was a walk back to the back of the building to get to it. Worked out perfect!

We had a quiet corner room that overlooked the river and the courtyard....practically perfect in every way!!!! We loved loved loved it in Bldg. 5!

stayed in building 5 in August with a second floor riverview. it was perfect. it took all of 4 minutes to get to the bus stop (6 or 7 by the end of the trip since we were so tired and started to walk slower lol). the pool was right around the corner and the food court wasn't far either. it was a perfect location. i'd definitely stay there again.

THANKS ALL! How long would you say it takes to walk to POR ~ main pool, first quiet pool and restaurant? S

IMO those that think POFQ is small has likely not stayed in bld 7 :teeth:

If by chance you do not get your bld request do not let them put you in bld 1 or 7. Thankfully we had a car so it wasn't a major issue. However it was a long way from the pool/restaurant area and at the end of a park day it was quite a hike.

It is about 10 minutes to walk to POR, and it is such a pretty walk by the river. We love POFQ

POFQ is a small resort, why would anyone complain about an extra 3-4 minute walk, just think about how many miles they'll walk at the parks over the same timeframe. I'm going the first week of May and as the 4th time @ POFQ all the buildings are fine. ENJOY

We had ground floor garden side. We were on the opposite of the water from building five. My 2 1/2 year old loved running and playing in the open garden to blow off steam. Was only 2 or 3 minute walk to parking lot, pool, and food court/bus stops. Highly recommend bldg 5.

We were also in Building 7, but I really didn't think it was all that far. Of course, we were located on the front corner right next to the parking lot. We were also two active adults. I liked our location - less traffic, close to the bus stop, etc. HOWEVER, if I was staying here with kids (especially kids that are the ages of my kids), I would be requesting building 5, ground floor, instead of building 7, 3d floor. I think it somewhat depends on WHERE in the building you are also. Just MHO . . .
