POFQ - Bonfamille's Cafe

We just returned from POFQ yesterday. While I was there I spoke with one of the managers and asked if they would ever open Bonfamille's Cafe again. He said they are still waiting for the numbers to come in from the rehab of the food court. If I remember correctly, the food court was redone a couple of years ago before they shut down the resort for the total rehab on the rooms. Wouldn't you think they would have the figures by now? He said they have to make sure if they repoen, they would not be taking business away from Riverside. Didn't make any sense to me. It's a hastle to pickup your whole family and trek over to Riverside just for a sit down meal. If I'm going to do that, I'll choose another place to eat. Don't get me wrong, I like Riverside, but it's not worth a special trip just for sit down meal.

It would be nice to have a sit sown restrauant in POFQ again, just for the convienence. The tone of the conversation didn't sound like it was going to happen any time soon. As a matter of fact, he made it sound as it is not even being considered. Sad

Sad indeed. Everytime we dined there (breakfast and dinner) the place was always quite full. Never quite understood why they closed it in the first place.

Bonfamilles is on our list of all-time favorite WDW restaurants. Their breakfast was as good as (or better than) Kona Cafe and dinner was outstanding.

I really hope they bring it back. As Uncleromulus said, the place was always full. We often had a long wait for breakfast.

We loved Bonfamille and why it closed I'll never understand. We ate there the last day it was open. I still have a menu in with my Disney memorabilia.

I agree with everyone. This was always one of our favorites especially for breakfast. It always seemed busy to us, rarely did we find the place just half full. Wish they would reopen this location we really miss it.

With the increasing crowds at both POR/POFQ (since the rehab) they really need a 2nd sit down restaurant, Boatwrights is just too busy. We loved Bonfamille!

I wish the would reopen it. It was always great to eat breakfast there before hitting the parks!
