Podcast 4.0 Fantasy 7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise 12/8/2012

Hi everyone,

I was planning on sailing on the Fantasy on 12/8 with two friends, however both just told me that they no longer want to go... We had not booked our reservation yet and I see that for the 12/8 sailing there are guaranteed rates which are very cheap. I really want to go, and was wondering if there are any other single travellers out there since I do not want to be by myself. Anyone, anyone? LOL.

GO. GO.
If you haven't booked yet, book thru Dreams Unlimited. There are a bunch of single travelers booked on our group Podcast cruise [contact traceyh@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com]. And they'll have lots of activities planned, too.
If you have booked, there are some events that you don't have to be signed up thru DU.

There are quite a few of us who are travelling by ourselves and are going to do things with the group. I say go for it and join us. :)

Are you able to look at some of the spreadsheets on this thread? There are a few single cruisers looking for a room mate.

I believe she is asking for a room mate, not necessarily a nudge to sail.

That's what I thought, too- especially since a cabin for one now costs almost as much as a cabin for two.

Most cruise lines charge a single cruiser between 75% and 100% of the fare for the same stateroom, when occupied by two. That would make sense ... since cruise lines levy stateroom fees based upon number of staterooms (then divide cost for the first two occupants).

It only makes sense if you're not a single cruiser. :confused3 It didn't use to be 75% - 100%; it was frequently closer to 50%. They've pretty much priced me out of any future DCL cruises, but I get the feeling DCL really doesn't care.

Sayhello

The single supplement used to be 170% of the double occupancy price, and now it's 200%.

DW and I have not confirmed our information yet. We have to wait a few days because of a foot issue my wife is having. If she does not get the OK from the doctor today, we might be postponing this cruise to next December.

Well, we did not get good news from the doctor, and her foot issues are not healing as fast we would have hoped. We are going to have to drop out of this cruise, but we will move the cruise to around the same time next year. Please remove us from the FE list.

Thats too bad, we've ended up on this cruise due to a broken ankle. We were supposed to set sail on Oct 26th. I hope your foot issues heal soon!

I just wanted to update us if needed, we are on the main dining schedule!

Just printed the list to finish our FE, what do I need to complete the FE to get "confirmed"?;)

I just need you to review your information to make sure it is correct.

I am looking for the family in stateroom 8070. I have a listing for Matt, Angel and Matthew, but no screen name.

I am trying to confirm their participation.

Hello! I can't believe it - but I just booked this cruise for myself and my Mom as a treat to her! We haven't taken a mother/daughter trip since I was in high school and because she is a retired military spouse and the military rates were TOO awesome to pass up - we are joining you :)

As crazy as it sounds, I actually cruised the Dream twice this year. We (my family) booked the Dream 14 months out for June and counted down every day. Then after we got back we missed her so much, we were looking online and noticed the last minute *GT rates so we booked it for August! I told my Mom I wanted to treat her to a Disney cruise and little did I know it would be so soon. I didn't know about the military rates until I was fiddling around on the website not too long ago. I'm a military brat myself but SHE has the ID card! :lmao: It's going to be really hard to leave behind my DH and DS as the Fantasy was supposed to be our next family cruise (hoping to book an opening day 2014 one) but the 7 day Fantasy was a $100 CHEAPER than the *GT rate on the 4 day Dream since the Dream doesn't currently have any military rates for December. It was a no-brainer!

I'm looking forward to counting down with you all! ;)
