Podcast 4.0 Fantasy 7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise 12/8/2012

I added some names to the roll call list.[Click on the link] Also put in alphabetic order. If there are corrections or additions please PM or email me.

Evening everyone. My DW (Sandy) and I (Richard) are going to be on this cruise as well. We actually signed up on our last cruise just over a year ago, and forgot about checking the cruise thread until now. D'oh.

Anyway, This will be our 9th Wedding Anniversary while on the cruise, and our 7th Disney cruise overall.

We do not have kids, but we will participate in the FE.

I'll read over all the postings in the next few days, and officially sign up for the FE on that thread. I just wanted to get us on the roll-call for the cruise. We DID NOT book thru DU, so we won't be participating on the "OFFICIAL" PCC 4 events or the PCC4 FE, just the regular FE.

Thanks.

We might be changing rooms. I just read the stateroom reports and found out this room has a lot of noise from Flo's Cafe right above it. I'm a light sleeper, and will not put up with the noise. We're either moving forward to just under hte quiet cove pool\Spa Salon, or we're moving to Deck nine just below our current room. We're calling our TA tomorrow and making the change. I'll post the change when we know it.

Have been on deck 9 on the Dream (9648) & Fantasy (9674) - deck 9 is great!! I would choose 9 over 10 if given the choice :thumbsup2

Not sure I understand ... do you plan to sleep while Flo's is OPEN? On the other hand, moving under quiet cove seems like you'd be inviting problems (water filtration, etc). I have no personal experience in either location ... just thought I'd note my interpretation.

:welcome:

We love to sail DCL sans kids ... you will LOVE it!

We know all about cruising without kids. This is our 7th DCL Cruise. We've never had any kids, nor do we want to have any. All of our cruises have been DCL, and probably will always be DCL. We've sailed on Magic '03, Magic '04, Magic '05, Magic '07, Magic '09, Dream '10, and then this cruise.

Because of the location, the area around Flo's is high traffic all day, and well into the night. There are complaints going as late as 2am for people running and making noise in that areas, even with the CM putting up signs and such. I'm a LIGHT sleeper, and this noise will keep me up at night.

We wouldn't be directly UNDER the Quiet Cove pool, but under the pool bar and that corner of the Quiet Cove Pool or under the Spa/Salon. We're also looking at moving down to Deck 9. It all depends on what's available and what our TA can do for us.

Ok, we moved 1 deck lower to room # 9568.

Now you've made me nervous. We're on 10, I'll have to find some room reports and check it out

Some people probably love deck 10 - I know that I wouldn't enjoy the huge overhang on my verandah, and the noise from deck 11. Also, the pool pumps are on deck 10 & it smells of chlorine in sone areas - reminds me of the YMCA. This is just our opinion & we haven't stayed on deck 10, but also don't plan to. You may love it tho!

Thanks. We are both pretty sound sleepers so we are not going to try and change cabins. Hopefully the closeness to the elevators will make up for any unwanted noise. I talked to my DH and he says he be fine with the verandah and he uses it more than me so....we'll see.

Hi everyone,

Joining this thread. :)

Right now I'm cruising solo, and will see if my kids (adult) or anyone else joins me on the cruise.

This will be my 6th cruise
3-day cruise (2003), Med cruise (2007), PCC 1.0 (2009), PCC 2.0 (2010), PCC 3.0 (2012)

I think I'm already signed up for the FE lists and the stateroom crawl.

I'm planning on doing some excursions, though I haven't decided which one yet.

I thought you were sharing a cabin with that wild and crazy redhead! I hope you'll find a cruise roommate, but if not - I think cruising solo is great! (Pricey...but great!)

Can anyone tell me based on past podcast cruises, what time do the transfer buses pick us up from the resort? I realize it won't be an exact time, just looking for a general idea. I am trying to decide if I should fly in on the day before or not, I am wondering how much park time I could get in :)

Whether or not you go to a park - I would STRONGLY urge you to fly to Orlando the day before.
