Being somewhat new to the DIS, I have never done a trip report-before, during or after! I can't wait for our travel dates to get here and have to be doing something Disney related to pass the time, so a PTR seemed like the perfect thing to do.

The cast:Me-I'm Rhonda and I'm the official Disney planner for our family. I have made it my job to instill the love of all things Disney into my children since birth. This will be my 6th Disney trip and 3rd trip staying on-site. By profession, I am a high school teacher, but I also sell for a fabulous direct sales company and that is where I was able to almost get our Disney trip for FREE!!!

DH-The Disney Grumpy. Bless his heart, he just doesn't always understand. He hates It's a Small World, along with almost everything else at MK :( He needs some Disney magic! I'm not really sure he likes anything about Disney, except maybe the safari at AK....oh, and drinking around the world at Epcot :lmao:

DD-Our princess and boy, does she know it! This child is the biggest girly-girl on the planet but will play in the dirt with the boys at any time too. She will turning 5 right after we get home from our trip and is begging for birthday specials at Disney.

DS-Our baby boy will turn two a couple of months before our trip. We've never done a Disney trip with a barely 2 year old, so this could be interesting. He loves "Mimmie Mouch"-Mickey Mouse doesn't quite come out right when he says it :goodvibes

Dates-We will be leaving home on December 16, right after work to drive at least half-way. As long as the van is still running (huge family joke as I hate minivans yet now drive one because I got a loaded, great-condition used one for $500!), we will be driving it down but using Disney transport once we are there. I am hoping for more like 3/4 of the way that first night so that we get to Disney early the 17th! We'll just have to see how that works out. We leave on the 22nd so that I have the 23rd to get ready for any last minute Christmas stuff at home!

Resort-After much time spent on DIS, I finally decided on Coronado Springs. I love the atmosphere in the pictures and while DH really wanted to stay at an AK resort, the price difference just wasn't worth it to me this time. Maybe sometime when we do an adult-only trip, we'll try deluxe.

Dining-FREE, need I say more! We already had our ressies made along with most of our ADR's so I was thrilled when FREE DINING came out! With the exception of the travel to and from and our extras like souvenirs, we are only spending $51 over what I earned with my direct sales company :)

Will put links here for other planning topics. Will get my ADR schedule on here soon, too!

I'm in! My youngest sister is around your DD's age! Love Disney at Christmas time! Can't wait for more!!

Can't wait to hear more. popcorn:: I am taking my two year old too. I took my son at that age and it went great. But I am crossing my fingers. She is shall I say a bit temperamental to say the least. Do you sell 31? I love their stuff but I can't sell it since I live near the supplier and they have super cheap warehouse sales twice a year. I am pretty sure my friends would laugh at me if I tried to sell it to them for full price. :lmao: But oh well at least I've been able to get a lot of cute monogrammed stuff.

I have never been to Disney at Christmas. I love Christmas and I love Disney, so what could be better, right?!

I do sell for 31-didn't want to seem like I was trying to recruit on here is why I didn't post who I sell for in the intro. I love their stuff too. That's actually how I ended up selling it. Thought I would do it just to get my stuff at the consultant price and then all my friends end up loving it, so I do very small parties for the most part, but it all adds up. Would love to go to the warehouse sales!!! That would be awesome :) My two year old is very tempermental too. When we took DD, she was almost 3 and acted even older than age. Not expecting that this time with my son, though! He is a trip all by himself-LOL!

I have never been to Disney at Christmas. I love Christmas and I love Disney, so what could be better, right?!

We went for Christmas when I was 6 and had a blast! Perfect weather, great decorations and we were there with family so it was probably one of the best trips we've taken!!

I'm not really even counting Day 1 as part of our Disney trip! I have to work that day and so does DH. I'm going to send DD to preschool that morning because she would drive my mom crazy asking if it was time to leave yet! DS will be hanging with my mom as usual when I'm working.

We are going to hit the road as soon as DH gets home from work. I'm going to have the van packed and ready to roll! I can pack so much more stuff in there than he can! I should really make a packing list! It's never too early, right?

We will be driving as far as we can before we get too sleepy. I'm hoping we at least hit the Florida line by the time we are ready to stop. Since DH refuses to let me drive, it will be up to him though.

Just an idea for driving: teachermommy78 came up with the idea of state line gifts for her kids. Every time they crossed into a new state, the kids got a little toy to keep them occupied. That might be something fun for your DD and DS to look forward to in the car.
