PO French Quarter Re-opening

My family and I are starting to plan our Disney vacation for late June/early July. Our favorite resort is the PO French Quarter resort. I know there has been talk of the resort taking 2 full years to redo, but there has also been rumors of it opening very soon.

Does anyone know if and when the resort will re-open?? My wife and I along with my three children are really hoping that the resort will be open for our vacation.

Here's another family hoping for reopening soon. We want to stay there Thanksgiving week. I definitely think it will reopen- just when is the question. I've also heard both rumors. I think they will reopen FQ and then close one section of Riverside for rehab and then do the other section. But who knows. I just really want FQ to be open by the time we go!

We were at WDW Dec 10 - 14 and noted that the PO sign on the gate was no longer there. Maybe they were refinishing it???

Noticed same thing first week in December...hope it's not for good! Would hate to see it become part of Riverside and lose the pool and food court and just have it become another hugh resort. We don't stay at any of the other moderates because we want to be close to everything! POFQ spoiled us!

The signs were down in October too.

I suppose it's too much to hope that it might even be open in April when we go next? I love that resort! Maybe I'll ask when I call tomorrow morning to try to get an AP rate on our trip.
