Were starting to plan a third year in a row spring break WDW vacation.... had look at ticket prices, etc. We usually stay at one of the Value resorts and I had checked a price for the four of us (2+2) during that time and I was quoted $134 /night! (at the PC).

Then, just a few days after starting my research for this year's vacation, I got an email from disney that said they noticed we liked the fun of the value resorts but should try a stay at one of the moderates... had a rate of 104 a night shown. Of course it had a disclaimer hat said it was for most nights between 2/17/05 - 04/17/05, Sunday through Thursday, two peope.
I called anyway to check on it... got the 104 nightly rate for the whole time!

7 nights for 812.00.

Good deal? I thought so. But I had never stayed at any of the mods so wasn't sure which one... opted for the PO FQ...

Good choice?

I was going to get annual passes this time because we will probably be going back later in the yera so I didn't know if the discount that you get with AP's might be better than this.

My view is the Mod's are really a better value then the Values for what you get for your money. Go for it. Also my fav mod is POFQ but many have a different view on that.

That's a great rate. I got POR for $114/night and thought that was good. I'm still debating between POR and POFQ, but went with POR just because I liked the pictures of the resort that I saw on www.allearsnet.com better. I'm still thinking of changing though. POFQ has rave reviews.

You're going to love POFQ! I enjoy the De Luxe resorts, but the FQ is where my heart is. I like the landscaping, the theming of the pool, the boat to DTD, and the 'small resort' ambience. We like a 'riverview' room in eiher Bldgs 1 or 6.

The only drawback to POFQ is the lack of a full service restaurant. The offerings at the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory are adequate, but you'll wish for something more. To remedy that problem, we rise early and take the short walk up to Boatwrights at POR. It's a good start to the day!

One thing that I've always enjoyed at POFQ & POR is the immediate access to the outdoors. We're not 'hotel' people. I don't like exiting my room into a corridor, then following the maze through a lobby and out of the main entrance. when you walk out the door at POFQ on a sunny morning, you're greeted by the smells and sounds of Florida. And after a Michigan winter, we'll grab all of that we can get! :D

Yes, EXCELLENT DEAL! PO-FQ is my favorite moderate. It is less spread out than the others, so not as much walking to bus stops, food courts or pools. Plus, you can also enjoy the pool at PO-R. We love the Beignets in the food court in the morning before going to the parks, too!
