Has anyone else tried to book Port Orleans - French Quarter and been told "no rooms AVAILABLE?? My mom just decided that she wants to stay here, in addition to AKL, GF & ASMo  . I went online just to see if there was any availablity and it said no rooms avilable during this time.

I am more then happy to stick with our originial plan but...

I haven't tried to book for that time, but it is still during the time that CBR is scheduled to be down, which means the people who were booked into those rooms have had to be moved elsewhere. It's my understanding that they were offered a free lateral switch to a moderade -- which POFQ is -- or a slight charge for an upgrade to a deluxe. That would be my guess as to why POFQ is booked...the people in the 2000 or so rooms that CBR had have to go somewhere.

HTH!

Weekend nights in early December tend to book rather quickly so it doesn't surprise me at all that there are no rooms available at PO-FQ. I'm willing to bet there is now limited weekend availability at all the resorts for this time period. If you want to stay at FQ, you will have to keep checking for cancellations or perhaps try to rearrange your other stays so that you can book a mid-week stay at PO-FQ. Glad you have a back up plan in case nothing else works out. Good luck!

I kinda figured that this was the case. I personally would rather stick with our originial plan of staying at ASMo for the first half and then 3 days each at GF & AKL. I told my mom I would check it out...funny she has done ZERO planning and made ZERO decisions, per her choice, up until now.

We'll be at POFQ from Dec. 13-17th. I booked the reservation a little over two weeks ago (16 days) through a TA who ended up using a Disney Club code for a good rate. We originally wanted to try CS but was told there weren't any rooms available. Maybe there are blocks of rooms set aside for DC or AP rates? Now that many of the codes have expired, and deposits for DC members received, some of the rooms may have freed up?? You might want to give it another try.
