Well all--I am off pretty soon for my vacation. Still am in shock that we will actually be staying IN the Old Faithful Inn (and then 12 days after we get home we are going to WL which was modeled after it. How cool is that?) I think I am packed other than the socks(!) and underwear for DH and I that are in the dryer. I am pretty sure everything is going to fit in the car. Well, I should say, the back end of the car. I could pack around the children, but that kind of thing makes them cranky .

I have the crankiest (in one case) and hyperest (for the other two) children on the planet right now. Ay yai yai! I think I am going to pay them for running laps around the house today. My plan is also to go somewhere for dinner tonight so the house is quieter for DH and so I don't have to cook or do any dishes.

Briar--I wanted to say I wish you safe travels and that all goes well for you!

DM3, that is so cool staying at the Old Faithful Inn and the Wilderness Lodge, both in the same month!

I love lodges, partially because my DH and I met while we were working for a summer at a National Park in Oregon when we were in college. He actually came up with friends on vacation and stayed to work since they really needed workers, it being towards the end of the summer. Then we met. We both went back there the next summer and to a National Park in Washington the following summer. So lodges are extra special to us.

Briar, I know it's so hard to leave everything here! You'll have great adventures where you are going, but I'd be going bonkers right now if I were you. You must have mixed feelings.

It's starting to rain harder with more wind. Feels more like tropical weather.
