I need to come clean about the whole red shoes thing. I loved the ones that BB posted for me but the issue is that I hate the Wizard of OZ. Something about those flying monkeys just freaks me out. I chose my name not thinking of the movie, but about a pair of dress shoes I got in the fourth grade. The first pair of shoes my Mom let me have that had a heel and were the most unpractical color imaginable- and thus the obcession started there and has continued. Shoes of every color almost as colorful as the words my DH has to describe my shoe collection, especially when he had to move all eight big boxes of them last time.
This baseball tournment sounds like fun, do you heckle the other team or are you guys pretty well behaved?

Too funny! Of course, armed with that knowledge, we will now torment you! But what are friends for?

We're normally pretty well behaved on our baseball team unless (big unless) the other team is nasty. Even then we try to keep it together, but our last regular season games was nasty and I was so giving the evil eye to the coach of the other team. After that game I went home and had a drink. I think that's why we're drinking at this tournament.

Speaking of lesbians...I was walking into work this morning and there was this guy walking in ahead of me. He had on a long flowered shirt, striped shorts that came down below his knees, sandals and white tube socks. The first thought that popped into my head was "that's the very reason there are lesbians in this world."

When Chris was in kindergarten, I volunteered to be Music Mom--I assisted the music teacher during Chris's class time because she didn't have an aide. I've never see anyone run a class as strictly as she did, and I was scared to death of her--she yelled at me one time for slouching in my chair. Her name was Mrs. Wiggins, but I called her Stalin. Well, one night I had a dream that I was walking down a road towards the Emerald City, when what comes flapping by me but Mrs. Wiggins as one of those flying monkeys.
