Well, you must not live as far in the woods as they do! They actually do live in the middle of BFE!! NO ONE delivers anything out to them except Mail and UPS! Not even pizza. And mom said the weather was already getting bad so the roads will be getting icy so no one would be able to get out there anyway.
Believe me if I thought I could arrange delivery of something I would. Even they were trying to figure out if they could call a sandwich shop in the nearest town and "bribe" them to bring a big load of sandwiches and soup out to hold them for a few days.

No church. I would have called them Friday if they did. They have a neighbor that is helpful but I don't her name and my mom refuses to ask anyone for help anyway. In fact I told her to ask the neighbor to pick SD up at the hospital and she said "No. Then she will know I am sick and want to help get groceries and bring soup over and offer to help. I don't want her to do that." Its like beating my head against a brick wall.
I have to just stop worring about them and let them do it on their own. They are the ones that raised a selfish, self centered 2nd daughter. They are the ones that are choosing to continue to live out in the middle of freaking no where even though we keep telling them the really need to move back into town for their own safety and well being.
I didn't tell you all the whole story, but when my SD had to go the hospital this week they actually were returning from the ER where he had been checked out, given fluids and sent home. When they got home he tried to get out of the car and collapsed on the ground. In Illinois in the winter. Mom called 911 and it took them over 30 minutes to get there. That entire time SD was lying on the frozen ground outside. If they lived in town someone probably would have been there within a matter of minutes. They were concerned he might have had hypothermia.
I hope this whole episode helps to convince them that they really can't stay out in the boonies much longer.

I went to get his prescription and drove up and totally forgot they have a Drive Through Pharmacy! Vow of Jolly getting higher!
Then went to KFC. Ordered 6 pc. Extra Crispy so I would have extras for lunch this week. I really only like white meat/breasts but I just put up with the fact that I only get one and the rest is legs and thighs. Guy comes over and says "I am sorry mam, we are out of legs and thighs in the extra crispy. I can either give you 6 breasts for the same price or I can give you Original Recipe". I put on a really disappointed face and said "Well, I guess I will just have the 6 breasts". Inside I was

I have chocolate ice cream and kahlua so i think I may get REALLY jolly later!

BTW...we can't go to houses with cats either if my son is along. The whole stopping breathing thing puts a damper on the evening.
I feel icky.
