I'm making tuna casserole. Ty likes it so I make it for him.

OK, so I need some help. I decided I want to plan a special trip for mine and DH's 25th anniversary in July. I wanted to do Disney because we have spent a few anniversaries there but now I'm thinking something else. I'd love to do a cruise or somewhere tropical. Money is tight so it can't be over the top (which is why Disney would work since we have a room and tickets).

Any thoughts?

Gees 4s if you have the tix and room then all you have is air and meals. Thats going to be hard to beat?! MnM where are you when we need you?

Price wise, Disney is the way to go. Decide on your budget though first Phors. If you can do something special, then do that instead! You can do Disney anytime! I would suggest an all inclusive for you guys. There is a great one, called Excellence Punta Cana, in Punta Cana. The island isn't so fabulous, but the resort is amazing and getting fabulous reviews.

We have never been to Montreal believe it or not! We've talked many times about going. :scratchin Now that's a good idea. I'm going to go check some stuff out. Or maybe a cruise up to Nova Scotia might be nice too. Here I've been thinking south whereas north that time of year might not be too bad.

Look into Montreal for sure then! We went when I was pregnant with Jake, with the older 3 kids, and had a great time. However, it would make a very romantic vacation, also. You'd be able to drive, which would cut the costs way down. You might need to get a passport now, though (pretty sure a person does need them), but it doesn't take too long to get one now.

Love your panty post, Merle! :woohoo:

I have not forgotten the boards are going down at 9 :( I have to finish getting my reviews for my dining :sad2:

I think we are going to try Chefs de France, why not

opinions on Teppan Edo?? that is where Teppanki(sp?) use to be right?

Try Chefs, you will like it. It is very pretty and we had a good experience there.

We are doing Liberty Tree for lunch, 50s for lunch, Yak n Yeti, Rose n Crown for dinner, Narcossees for dinner and Ohana for dinner.

on allearsnet the reviews for yak and yeti are not too great, but not many have been written yet

I think I am going to go to Chefs -- also thinking about Spoodles, that shrimp dish look yummy

phors, I vote for a cruise to Nova Scotia! You will be able to drive to the pier as well, so your only cost really is the cruise, the tips and parking. Plus if you do anything there, which in Nova Scotia is minimal. You can walk around Halifax!

got into paigies present tonight. wheres that smilie guy who breaths fire????????

Debbie, we just did Spoodles. Here are the pictures......

The bread and oil they start you off with

I remember those pics from the food porn thread :rotfl:

I have never eaten at Jiko, but hear rave reviews about it, think I will try that one also!

OK, so the only cruise I found to Nova Scotia for my time frame was on the Carnival Victory. Are Carnival ships still party boats? I could also cruise out of the NY are to Bermuda or Bahamas. What do you think about that? We could really only do a 5 night because of vacation time.

DH and I ate at Spoodles before and loved it!

If you sail out of NY you better arrive a bit early so we can hook up! :thumbsup2

We love Carinval and we aren't partiers or drinkers at all. The food is the best and the shows as well! And you are going to Canada, so not as party oriented.

Although, the thought of renewing my vows barefoot on a beach has a bit of an appeal.....
