I should go check my mail, that will take up two minutes of my time, then another two minutes to go through it, then another two minutes to hang any cards I got today. Then I will be bored again. Jake finally wore me down and opened his presents. He's so excited! And you were so generous. I'm holding off on mine, however, until we have our party. How about Saturday evening for anyone who can make it. And if your presents haven't arrived, still come join in. What do you all think?

We just got back from getting our Christmas tree. Ben was kind of mad since we haven't gotten one in the last few years (didn't want to fight the cats and I was having a shortage of jolly those other years), but Alyssa was adament that we get one this year. Means a lot to her, and I wanted one, too. Ron is always onboard for that sort of thing.

We're off to Jake's birthday dinner. He already opened his birthday presents and is a very happy boy. More about that later since his reaction was pretty funny. Then home for cake and ice cream. Yes, I seem to be overflowing with jolly. Love you all!

I have plans all day on Saturday, but I might be able to pop in for a minute. My entire family is coming over to decorate cookies, then we're having chili and making hot chocolate, then we're loading up to go look at Christmas lights.

Oh, I forgot to mention that a friend took me shopping yesterday and at Costco I came across a Guitar Hero III for the PC, complete pack for only $75! Since we don't have a compatible game system it seemed like the best option so I went ahead and got it. Santa will bring it for the whole family.

I also found DH a DVD and workbook set of Electric Guitar for Beginners Lessons. Not sure if he will like it, but we can return it if he doesn't. At least I have somethings to go under the tree.
