I hope you're not ready for grandkids! :rotfl: Even I'm not quite ready and my DD is almost out of college and my oldest son is getting ready to go into college. Before long they will be older than me.

Mine are 12 and 7. At the time I spaced them out that way intentionally, but I realize now I probably should have just bitten the bullet and had another one in between.

Off to bed. See you all tomorrow.

No more babies for me! I did LOVE being pregnant though! 2 is a good number for me! It might of been nice to have them closer together, but over all they do get along well for being 5 years apart.

g'ntie scrapperdoodle
Im off as well.....catch everyone tomorrow

Night everybody!

And night Cleata! Tried to get you back and it wouldn't let us, then you disappeared again before I could tell you night. :confused3

I am not ready for Grandkids. My Grandmother was 39 when I was born, and my mother was 41 when my son was born. I am hoping to be closer to 50.

OK, I am going to read back a bit and figure out why I'm talking about this.

Oh, and I hate weak coffee.:surfweb:

Christmas Eve we cook my traditional meal (which was always on Christmas Eve growing up)
Potato soup
Rice Soup (yuck! Just cook it for show)
Bean Soup (double yuck! cook it just for show)
Perogies
Kalachi (an unlevened bread stuffed with potatos and cheese)
Ham
Veggies (just for show...no one wastes the room to eat them)

Christmas day we cook DH's traditional meal, with my modifications since I'm cooking it
Roast Beast
Cream Cheese Mashed Potatos
Filling (don't ask, I make his mother bring it from PA)
Creamed Corn
Pearl Onion Gravy
Peas
Biscuts

Christmas morning I usually eat leftover ham and kalachi.

Holy food! And are the soups a traditional thing? Why would you make them and not eat them?:rotfl:

I'm an excellent driver. And I made it home with 3 minutes to Wapner :teeth:

Wapner?:confused3

Does this include underwear? :confused3 :rotfl:

Underwear! Those should be way young. And I just heard that bras wear out after 6 months! We don't want our Tas unsupported!:scared1:

What the hell is Tapas?

Tapas is the name for a wide variety of appetizers in Spanish cuisine. They may be cold, such as mixed olives and cheese, or warm, such as puntillitas, Andalusian battered, fried baby squid. In the United States and the United Kingdom, tapas have evolved into an entire cuisine; at Spanish restaurants, patrons may order many different small tapas, and combine them for a full meal.

Yeah...only we don't just do Spanish stuff...even the Tapas restaurants don't just do Spanish stuff that I know of...I guess I mean I just make a ton of appetizers.

Emily (yesterday at her first birthday party)

I'm in love.

I can almost smell the smell.:cloud9:

Oh, and I won't be birthin no more babies. My body was not designed to have children. It is so damaged and hideous now and not reparable. Ugh.:sad2:

Yes, traditional from before Vatican 2 when there was NO meat on Christmas Eve...the Ham is a modern addition to the traditional meal of tasteless starches. I must admit that I love those starches, but now we add meat and veggies. My mother will eat the rice and bean soups. I despise them. (rice soup is rice cooked in milk until mushy)

I also will not have any more children. First of all, I'm too damn old to do that again. Second, I HATE being pregnant, love the kids, but hate the process to get there (start to finish). Third, I don't want the kids to outnumber the adults, they may take over. Finally, I don't know if I could deal with another sick kid, one is enough. I love my kids dearly, had them later in life and wouldn't trade them for the world...but I also would like to retain a tiny bit of sanity.

Oh, and good morning.

By the way Bomb...did ya see the sandals?

Lara, I don't even need to click on the thread. MM was nice enough :scared: to PM it to me.:sad2:

Got it about the soups. It is so cool that you have your family around to do that stuff with.

Oh Threep, your nephew is gorgeous!

Good morning People, off to work.
Bye and have a nice day!

Good morning, my pretties. :cutie:

I feel like someone smacked me in the face with an 18 wheeler. Weird - yesterday I actually felt a little better.

Teva, little Emily is SO cute. I just love babies. I didn't used to, but I think I've finally gotten to the point where I really appreciate when they're not mine.

 Morning!

Babies, eh? DH and I wish we had had a couple more. :guilty: I will impatiently wait for grandchildren.

Jr. is home sick today. Poor booger. Swollen glands, fever, feeling yucky. He's back in bed.

Caro- I'm looking for some fuzzy crocs but I think the 9's may be too big. The ones I got in Disney fit me perfectly. I think they are a size smaller than those.

Scrappy- I've been eyeing that Disney luggage. I'll have to go check it out.

ugh. morning. I have to stop finding the good DIS threads at 11:30 and staying up way to late!

And DD12 is on my bah humbug list because she harassed me out of bed this morning 2 minutes before my usual get up time.

DD7 isn't up yet. Why is it that even though she is 7 I still sit here and worry that maybe something is horribly wrong and she has died in her sleep (like SIDS) just because she is sleeping a little late? I don't want to go check on her because I know in my head she is just tired and sleeping in and I dont want to disturb her. But there is that little nagging part that keeps thinking, she is always up by 7:15, are you sure nothing is wrong?

The good thing is I know she will come stumbling down when she gets up and will be all warm and snuggly and want to just cuddle for a bit.

Good Morning!
Bomb, WOW your Mom and Grandmother were young when they became grandmothers! My Grandma was 40 when she had my Mom!

Scrappy, I do the same thing if the girls sleep too long!

Scraps, I can't believe your 7 year old gets up on her own. I am impressed! Ds is 8 and I wake him up at 6:45 every morning for school.

Yes, but my Grandma had my mother when she was 20 (my mother was her 3rd kid!!!) and my mother had me a few weeks before turning 19. It's cool because my mom and Grandma are still young (turning 50 and 70 respectively in the next 2 months) but it's hard to have kids that young!
