hi all. i am off work today, jules has to work. so i am spending my day doing cleaning she cannot be around, getting rid of mildew areas with bleach.. she is allergic to bleach.. its 50 degreees uot side. i have every window in the house open. so far i have bleached hte tub area, the shower curtain, the area behind the kitchen sink, inside of the dishwasher, and did 4 loads of laundry.

hey froggy you wanna come visit me? I have things that need done too and bleach makes me wheeze real bad. When I get a new shower curtain etc..I lay it out on the deck and spray it with 409 , it helps retard mildew growth.

yeah that works, but its been 6 months since i had a hance to use tilex, so its beyond that this time. time for genuine clorox. i really hate living in a swamp sometimes.


btw temp is now closer to 65..lol.. sun came out

It's all good. Least it isn't like it was 200 years ago. People didn't know if they'd make it through winter alive. Between rampant illness in the cities spread by parasites, starvation in the country, and being lost in blizzards or frozen no matter where you lived..........hey, I've got nothing to complain about.

We are studying famous Americans.......Thurgood Marshall, Benjamin Banneker, Susan B. Anthony, et al. Then Christmas around the world......which I already had a run in with another teacher about and vented to Tig about.

Finished with telling time, going into place value with ones, tens and hundreds. We've done nouns and punctuation and are in the middle of verbs.

Let's see, what else.........oh science. Finished the night sky and outer space things. We're doing weather. Especially severe weather. Lovely to talk to young children about.

Spelling list was er endings: letter, never, father, other.......and so on. I don't remember what next week's is.

Oh man I worry about my 2nd grader. He couldn't spell or write any of those words. He is starting with place value and can tell time fairly well though the passage of time is a mystery to him for some reason.

The history, social studies and science stuff he gets and loves but those basics......sigh.

I don't know what I did to my finger. It is the pinky one on my left hand. Thankfully not my right. It is swollen and hurts when I move it. I have it wrapped now. As DH says I am a magnet for weird health issues. He told me this while I was trying to figure out how to take my shot last night with one hand partially immobile. Thanks honey....maybe you would like to see how this copaxone feels

And when I got home my Disneyshopping order was here and miraculously everything arrived in perfect shape!! I now have a bunch of new ornaments and a Mickey Wreath!


We have the spelling thing under control now. She is way behind in spelling. At our Parent Teacher conference we discussed it and she is now getting first grade words. She is doing much better. This week she had "ir" words--dirt, skirt, shirt etc...

I got the Mickey wreath too and every one of their ball ornaments ! The ones, that are clear and have a princess inside have all broken already though. Going to call and get my money back I think. No sense in even trying to get more, they will just break again. They are SO pretty though!

And my friend has twins, in 1st grade, but they should be in 2nd. They have her on Kindergarten words and him on 2nd grade words. Can you imagine dealing with that!?

I got the ball ornaments of Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Goofy on top of the balls with the glitter Mickey Heads, and Santa Tink on top of the ball, and the 2007 Ball, and also the Christmas Carolers Storybook Set. I wish had gotten the Snow White set also.
