Just an FYI, don't know if you know this or not, found out when my friends grandmother was dying and she had wanted to have her body donated. When they are done, they give you back to your family. :upsidedow

I heard that when they are done you are cremated and the ashes returned to the family. Could be wrong, I never really looked into it.

its a good thing Im ugly then....well unless they thing fileting the fat off of me might be fun.

some of them they send to the body farm....no one comes back from there...

Perhaps we should change the subject.

So I stopped at two drinks. Not bad for a depressed person, huh? ;)

Maybe it depends on where you go to. I know that she had contacted someone about it and they informed her that they would send back the body. She didn't want to have to deal with "losing" her grandmother twice so she just had her cremated which was something her grandmother had also said she wanted done.

Bruce wants to donate his body. Apparently they don't take everyone. His body has been pretty used up and worn out, I'm not so sure they'll want him :rotfl: Guess that means I'll keep him a while.

Has anyone been watching Samantha Who? We are catching up on it and its kinda cute.

my turn for the laptop! I have to share with Andrew and the girls.
Just sitting in my Mom's room watching her sleep and watching the monitors. It's probably been close to 3 hours now since they took the tube out. It was hard to see her so adamant about wanting the ventilator removed, but she is just done fighting. She wrote down earlier that she just wants to die. She's 75 years old and being born disabled she has had to fight every day of her life. She has never given up till now. My sister and i understand and as hard as it is to let go, we have to. Now it's just the waiting. Her vitals are good, she's on oxygen with labored breathing and is sedated.
The girls are doing reasonably well with all of it. Alana is being much more emotional than Kathryn.

I didnt meant to scare you teva, if I had I would have asked you what you were wearing today :) Im stalking Merle remember so I have to ask.

Merle, are those the pink panties your sister had a few weeks ago?

Caro? What disability was your mom born with?

Such a plaintive voice
thinking that there is no choice
why is that the way it is
there should be no pain like this

up above and down below
goes on and on like some bleak show
don't quite know what's happening
all the lines are sharpening

and I want to tell you now
make you understand somehow
there is more than what we've seen
there is something we can glean

reach out and grab the light
hold on and let's take flight
never let the underground
grab onto you and pull you down

we will live and we will learn
we will let those feelings turn
and with friends and with grace
we will all our troubles face

It's been many years since I've written any of my poems. The last time was during a very turbulent few years in early college. This is for the PMSers.

Caro, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Merle do you own any underwear that's NOT pink? Come to think of it, I guess I'm about to find out next week :rotfl:

No these would be another pair. I haven't been to my sister's house in a long time. Going tomorrow though.
