So there is this girl I work with (the one who can't count change). She has no transportation and when hired planned to take a cab to and from work. I felt kinda bad so I told her I would give her a ride home. Its more or less on my way home, if I alter my route a bit.
I've been giving her a ride everyday now for about 2 weeks. Now don't get me wrong, I don't mind (although I don't care for her to much personality wise) but if it were you taking the ride would you at least offer a couple bucks for gas? I don't really need it, its more of the principle of the thing. Am I wrong in my thinking? I would never ask her for money, just curious what you all think.

Uh, yeah. Once or twice (say if my car wouldn't start or something...) I can see not offering, but 2 weeks!
I'd be giving gas money and a gift by now.

Morning all! Got woken up at 5:44 and told I needed to be at a program at 6:45. As I am getting my lunch together at 6:30 I get called again and told that I don't need to go after all.

4's, If you're not really altering your route I don't think that not offering gas money is such a big deal, however it seems that she should be thanking you profusely and would occasionally get you a small gift (a gas card would be nice, which of course is giving gas money...). Also, what if you have something to do after work and you're not driving straight home? Hopefully she's fine taking the cab those days--I wouldn't want someone too dependent on me.

Lara, some things can slide. You are going to drive yourself bonkers trying to accomplish so much. Also, where is your husband for all of this? I hate to see you running yourself into the ground.

Took me ages to go to sleep last night and after that I tossed and turned. I'd given in and taken a percocet for my butt last night (that sounds funny ) and maybe that was keeping me awake. The result is a very sleepy Tig who is fighting off a headache.
