So I've been trying to broaden my alcohol horizons. Every weekend, while Roadie generously bowls with my husband for me I've been trying new drinks. I tell the bartender I want something strong and fruity and they come up with something. I've had a royal flush (Roadie and I both were sloshed that night ) sex on the beach, appletini, and something with rum and cranberry juice. What else should I try? I don't want to taste too much of the booze in it. I like it to sneak up on me

My 7yr old rat just came down and went into the pantry and asked me if she could have a piece of candy. I told her "No, you had a stomach ache at dinner and didn't eat much so candy is not a good idea." She said "Please!!!!" and I said "NO" in that tone that means end of discussion.

So she gets out of the pantry and starts to walk away to the dark and deserted front hall and I hear the distinct sound of a candy wrapper in her hand.

BUSTED!

I call her back in and she is obviously hiding it in her hand. I tell her to put the candy away in my angry voice and she goes in and PRETENDS to put it away, I can still see it in her hand out of the corner of my eye. "PUT IT AWAY NOW! and now you get to go bed immediately with no story." I give her credit for just accepting the punishment and not throwing a fit!!!

So at least one child is in bed now! I think I will go lie down and watch TV.

I give her credits just for having cajones

you can always PM me with your comments......Im glad I didnt mention the slow screws I had after the brandy alexander..lets see that night I started with a margarita...went to the brandy alexander, then 2 slow screws, and a tequila sunrise..and the best thing was I was still able to stand up on the train. Thats the night I danced in my chair at hard rock and I never dance

The Flaming Dr. Pepper is a flaming cocktail, invented at the Ptarmigan Club in Bryan, TX, that is said to taste like the soft drink Dr Pepper, although it does not contain any soda. It is usually made by filling a shot glass 3/4 full with Amaretto, and 1/4 Bacardi 151 (or Everclear) to make it flammable. (The two liquors are not mixed; rather, the high-proof alcohol is layered on top to burn more easily.) The shot is then set on fire and dropped into a glass half-filled with beer. The flaming shot is extinguished by the beer, which foams up and is then quickly consumed. A common variation is to use Amaretto and Kahlua.

I have done these, in fact Ms best friend challenged me one for one, about 17 years ago. We got to 13, I won, then I could not move for 2 days!
