Well, back from the grocery store...$200 poorer. Damn groceries are going up in price hand over foot! So I am now officially broke for the next week...I spent almost all of my allowance. No lattes for me.

DH has the kids downstairs. I should probably go down and spend some family time, but I don't wanna...

It's tempting since my anniversary is the 22nd, but I do get the Melting Pot out of the deal. Maybe one of the other days, though.

hi and bye, have to finish up packing Kathryn, go to open house for a little at work so I can show the family where i work and sort of what I do, drive Kathrn to camp (it's about 1 1/2 hours away) be sad and miss her and then come home. So, I'll be back ate afternoon.

Would anyone like to send a brief letter or email to Kathryn while she is at camp? She'd probabaly be excited! PM me and I'll send the info.

Hey all!
I went to the fair last night to get some fair food and perhaps party a bit. I ate the fair food, but the partying was a no go.
The amount of mullets was insane. Not a hot guy in the entire place. Is a little eye candy too much to ask for?

'Things' we saw:

~20 something girl in shorts so short you could see her crack, tottering on 1/2 inch heels confused3 ) with a top that accentuated her ENORMOUS muffin top. She wasn't really fat I mean, she could have worn something looser and looked good.

~20 something girl (maybe younger) in a bikini top SPILLING out of the top and...well, she was just not attractive in a bikini top, 'kay?

~40 something lady with a she-mullet (a mullette?) and a frilly white sleeveless blouse, maroon pants, and white crocs.

~30 something guy with a button down shirt OPENED to reveal a nasty chest and gut. It was bad enough and then he took off his shirt right in my sightline.

~and the winner (spotted by me...) 40 something mullet man with (wait for it) the slightly 'poofed' bangs and a tucked in button up....unbuttoned about 4 buttons. I did have to check to see if his jeans were rolled, but sadly they were not.

There were many many more. Oh, and if you have flat, saggy girls, perhaps a low cut halter top is not your best option.

Angel You need a big squeezy hug.

So DS is in bed for his nap. We had the funniest fight at lunch. I decided to have a fried egg for lunch and offered DD a scrambled egg, which she loves. Of course she took me up on the egg. DS starts piping in that he wants egg too. Now I know DS hates egg, but gave him a little. Then DS remembers he hates eggs and decides he wants crackers instead. We tell him he has to at least take a couple of bites of the egg he asked for. He pulls a tantrum and I wait until he's going full steam ahead and then pop a bite of egg in his mouth. He was sooooooooo mad at me. He ate the egg and a cracker and then the crying started again.....so I popped another bite of egg in. The third time he went to cry, looked at me, and put his hand over his mouth so he could cry without fear of egg. That was fine, the hand muffled the screams. He was just tired.

I need to get out of this house (and away from my kids). My dh thought it would be a good idea last night to go out for dinner, bless his heart. We piled everyone in the car and headed to Beef O'Brady's for wings and stuff. I order this beautiful salad, and just as I'm about to take a bite, Abby starts wailing and trying to climb from her high chair. I pick her up to quiet her, set her in my lap, and the smell hits me. MAJOR dirty diaper.

This is the moment when I realize that I never grabbed the diaper bag on the way out the door. I'm holding out hope at this point that my husband actually thought to bring it, so I nudge him and whisper, "I need a diaper NOW. Did you bring the bag?" He makes a face like this and then the smell hits him, too.

Needless to say, I took my salad to go. It didn't seem to bother anyone else, so they continued to eat their wings while I held the stinkpot. So much for a nice dinner out.

Happy Sunday! Just getting back from AC ($30 poorer) but had such a great time. I was a dancing machine with my girl friends.

I have to unpack my overnight bag and then pack for this week. My flight is at 7 but I have a feeling with the storms blowing through, it'll be mega-delayed.

time to go catch up on the thread, do laundry, and pack.

Why do they insist on pooping in restraunts? That's a horrible feeling not to have a diaper. Connor had a huge blow out in Epcot....my husband had used the last diaper earlier without telling me Ah, the joys of motherhood.
