PMS in a Handbasket--Don't be afraid, just bring us food... Part 13

Hi everybody . I haven't been here since early yesterday morning so I'm not up to speed on everything. What happened with Snowy?

BTW, flowers are always a nice thing Shug. How's the plumbing ?

Snowy's brother passed away unexpectedly yesterday CED. I just talked to her a bit ago. They are waiting until spring to have a small graveside service. There has to be an autopsy and all that so it sounds like they are just going to wait for things to warm up and calm down a bit. I'm going to order her flowers to be sent to her house tomorrow. Anyone who'd like to contribute, that's great, but I'm having the card signed from all the PMSers regardless. I sent ML a bouquet of pink roses and stargazer lilies for her birthday that she raved about, I might have something like that made up. Except maybe not quite so foo foo :)

And uh, the plumbing....Doc says the drano will take 2 to 4 days to kick in but the, uh, "bullets" made the pain and stuff go all bye bye :thumbsup2

OMG! My DH just came home and asked if I want to go out to dinner. He NEVER wants to go out! Especially with the kids. It is just to an Italian place for pizza, but that is a huge offer coming from him! :)

See you all later!

Have a great time!!

PM me your address again would ya, please.

ok, I think I'm caught up. Again for everyone who needs it *huge huge hugs* and good thoughts and prayers.

Aimee and Shug thanks for the address.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for Den and I too. We didn't make it to the hospital today. Den slept in. Den never sleeps in. Then we found out his Uncle passed away last night. So today didn't go as planned. We are going to emerg come hell or high water in the morning though.

Love you guys! :grouphug:

Here's a funny noise story for ya'll:

Here's one too. Some of you may remember part of this, I was on MSN when it happened. So I am sitting there at my desk in my new comfy chair. :cloud9: I hear footsteps so I yell at the top of my lungs "MOM". No answer and the ootsteps stop, so I of course panic. I tell everyone I will BRB and go to grab the phone which is dead, I had put it on the base to charge but the charger was unplugged. :confused3 I then grab my work cell and creep to the bottom of the stairs and yell again. This time she answers and I say "You scared the s*** out of me" to which my aunt, the born again Christian says :scared: "she called out to you when we came in". Talk about a OMG moment. :sad2:

Just a PSA for all here, for our hurricane kit I went around and took a picture of most of our household items and put them on a CD, along with pictures of the house itself inside and out. I also keep in my kit a gallon size ziplock bag with big item receipts along with a spreadsheet describing many items in the house (I actually need to update all this for this upcoming season). Everyone should have an emergency kit no matter where they live and these are just good items to have in it. PSA over.

I was going to suggest this too, I really need to do this and soon. I know one of these days Mom is gonna burn the house down. :sad2:

Hi guys - came home to shower and get some clothes - didn't realize I had stayed signed in. [Obviously I left in a rush.] Thanks for all the hugs - right back at you.
I will try to check in when I can - someone please thank Shug again for me for being there for me last night, okay?
Take care everyone.

:scared1: :rotfl:

I'm thinking of sending a bouquet to the funeral home for Snowy. What do you guys think? My grandma always said flowers are for the living, the dead can't see them. I was thinking of just signing it from all us PMSers. I have school tonight so if she shows up while I'm gone can someone try to find out what funeral home they are using? And her brother's name.

That sounds fine. Think about sending a plant, I do those here at work for deaths in the family. We do small dish gardens. I like the fact that they will last and not be wilted in a few days.

Thanks for filling me in Shug. The poor thing, I can't imagine how hard this must be for her. I think I have her address, she's in NH right? I'm glad the plumbing is starting to work again. I have your address to so count me in.

ASH, I just read your thread. I have no idea but just wanted to give you a . I hope your doctor is able to figure out what's causing your symptoms. They all sure sound like thyroid from the little I know about it.

I am so sorry for your loss Myst

Would someone else please go to school for me tonight? Aside from my knee still hurting, those chairs are uncomfortable on my tender tuckie :scared: All you gotta do is go fabricate a PFM crown and I think there's a quiz on composite resins vs. amalgam in posterior teeth: discuss the pros and cons. Easy stuff. I'll wait here.

Oh yeah, you definitely want me going to school for you :rolleyes1 :rotfl: . Bring a pillow to sit on. Tell people you're a Queen and it's your throne :teeth:.

Nope sorry, already have two crowns, don't want to think about any more. :scared:

Take a pillow with you to sit on. Tell them you hurt your back. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That's not laughing that's the closest I could come to a full on temper tantrum. FINE! I'll see you all in about 3 hours.

 Hey I wouldn't ask you to go to any of my stupid computer meetings and believe me they would make you want to poke out your eyeballs.

Hi Phorse! I love Olive Garden!!! That's where Pixie and I met for lunch. Glad you had fun. What did you order?

That sounds GREAT!! How about Cracker Barrel? There is one just off the freeway, a little south of Potomac Mills. Do you like? And I can meet ya around 1:00 if that's okay!
Hmmm, now Olive Garden is starting to sound good. :rotfl:

Can anyone guess my favorite phrases of the day?

Today is a "dont pick your nose kind of day". I swear I get a cardboard cut out of myself and record the five magic phrases of motherhood (stop picking your nose, did you wash your hands?, stop bothering each other, dinner will be ready soon, and yes yes in a minute) and my kids would probably not even miss me ;) .

Sorry about Den's uncle! And if you get stuck at the hospital tomorrow, please don't hesitate to call me. I'll be out of the house (but I'll have my cell), but I'll be around the rest of the day and I even have a free evening tomorrow night (my DH is going to some work thing :cool1: ).

We're off to dinner now..the dinner we were going to a few nights ago when Jake got sick. :wave2:

Those of you who have thyroid issues please read this, because I have no idea what is going on right now....

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=17449721&postcount=107

I am so upset right now.

Ash, the TSH came back normal, but how are your CBC levels? Your red cell count, white cell count and plasma? How long have you been having these symptoms? It could be something completely unrelated. Autoimmune of some sort.

Try not to panic. You WILL get answers, I promise!
