We've been to Captiva (visited last October), and we plan on going back (if we can find room in our vacation schedule). We loved it. Such a nice, peaceful vacation. And yes, I live 10 minutes from the beach, but will drive the over three hours for this place!

I agree Miss J, I grew up in Vero and we use to love going to place, I do not go as often now, am in Atlanta, but try to at least once a year or every other year
