Ok, I figure everyone can use a little laugh....here goes....

I am sitting on my couch with my laptop. I keep hearing these strange noises. I have checked my cats 3 times now....the kids twice. I cannot figure out where these noises are coming from....until I realized that the sound on the laptop is turned on. It's not loud enough to really hear....but loud enough to hear low grumbles from AIM.....
Ok..... yes, I'm blonde :lmao:

Speaking of funny noises...
Last summer DH and I took DD to a cabin in the N. GA Mountains. Its really dark and being primarily city people...we don't DO really dark. I have a VW convert. bug and we had taken it so we could play with the top down. I had left something in the car so DH goes out to get it. Next thing I know he is running for his life back in the front door and slams screeching like a girl "somethings under the car....it hissed at me". I'm all  and :scared: wondering what kind of wild animal is out there. I found a flash light in the cabin and decide to be the adult and I go out there to look. I don't see a thing from the porch so I make my way out there and finally open the door. When you open my car door, it makes an electronic sound of the windows going down just a tad to keep suction from pulling at the convert. top. Thats what he heard. I laughed and laughed and told him what a sissy he was. A year later, he still freaks a little when he hears that noise. And I still laugh at him.

Thanks teva and Aimee.

DM3, you are so right that you are a fighter!

Kelly :rotfl2:

Shug, big congrats to you and  and  Congrats to Paige and Jules, too! :cheer2: I'm sorry, Debbie!

WD2, love that story!

Hi guys, I am back. I have found a group that sounds pretty good. However a lot of people on there are pretty advanced so that is freaking me out a little. Lots of paralysis and vision loss going on over there. I intend to be part of the 50% that doesn't lose vision. I can do that right? Right?

Dh took the kids sledding so I can just have some time without having to care about anyone else.

I am still vacillating between grieving, being cranky and being in denial.

Oh, man. Now they are home.

You guys are great btw!!

Yes, you will definitely be in the 50%!! having people to support you is so important, and you have that here and at home!!

Here's a funny noise story for ya'll:

A few years ago, DH and I heard a strange noise coming from our pantry. A light scratching sound. DH freaks out- starts screaming like a women, "there's a mouse in there.....". So he accessories his outfit with kitchen mittens, a hammer, and a pair of goggles. He begins to take apart the pantry (now in defense of him, I have assumed the position of standing on a kitchen chair and supervising the event :rotfl: ). Thirty minutes later, no mouse has been found and what is left in the pantry is an open box of rice and a can of ginger-ale. He builds up his confidence and reaches for the box of rice and runs into the garage- no mouse. Meanwhile I have climbed down from my safe perch and reach for the can of ginger-ale- and I discover our "mouse". The can of ginger-ale had a slow leak in it and it was making the noise in the pantry :rotfl2: . Good news in that night I got a ton of help cleaning the pantry.

I just spoke with Snowy. Her brother passed away today. At the moment they do not have a cause of death but he hasn't been sick. She won't be around for several days while she helps her family sort things out. Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated. I'm sending a card and if anyone else would like to and needs an address, pm me.

Will this crappy day ever end???

Snowy, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Shug, I have her address already, and if anyone needs it, they can PM me as well.

What a terrible thing - this week is nothing but bad news.

Snowy - I'm so sorry :grouphug:

Snowy...I'm so very sorry for your loss!

I hope when you are able to visit here, we can give you some comfort:hug:

Goodnight. :wave2:

I really hope that tomorrow brings some better news to the the PMSers. So much sadness. :sad1:

I am so sorry everyone. :grouphug: Tig I would like if you could send me that address please. Would have PM'ed but it's not letting me. Not saying full, just not going through.

Tomorrow morning we are off to the ER with DH to see about his blue toes. That is in Brooklyn. Not sure what I'm going to do if they decide to keep him. I think I'll get a hotel nearby, a bottle of wine and phone card. Who wants to talk to me? :scared1:
