! Congratulations to you Gma, your DS, his GF, and beautiful baby daughter. May this pecious baby help mend all hearts, as no matter the situation, she is a gift from God and her well being is important. Wonderful you are there to lend a hand, home, security and help guide this young couple as they mature together responsibly and find their way. May this new family be blessed to work out their struggles for their little daughter's sake. God Bless and hope your holdiays are happy.

Handsome son, beautiful 'daughter in law' (for lack of a better term) and GORGEOUS granddaughter. What a wonderful grandma you are going to be. They are all 3 very lucky to have you. I was lucky to have a wonderful grandma myself and there really is no greater blessing.

Oh my goodness - she is so beautiful. Congratulations Grandma.
Time will make things so much better. I remember how upset when I found out that my DD was pregnant and unmarried at 20. She had to drop out of college. Initially, nobody knew how things would turn out. But today, she is 32 and has two children - 9 and 11. She and her husband are doing wonderful. She has now gone back to school and is less than a year away from becoming an RN.
Life is Good!

the baby's name is Aaliyah Marie. she is beautiful, isn't she??!!!!
i want to share a little something with you all. we went to visit my parents today, which we usually do every couple days. my family is VERY close.....
well anyways, yolanda (baby's mom) noticed that she and Aaliyah both have stockings hanging on the mantle, along with my other kids and my sisters kids. each of my parents' 5 grandkids (well, now 7!) has one with their name on it at their house. so my dad told her how he ordered them because he had to have them for his 2 new granddaughters. she is so unaccustomed to things like that. she cried......and then i cried. she is really seeing how a true, loving family acts. i think we are the complete opposite of the family she had. i really do love this girl!!!

Ok I teared up too I haven't posted b/c I didn't know what to say but this is awesome that this girl has a wonderful place to be with now...
my sil was brought into our family in a similar situation - she was in foster care and was removed b/c her uncle liked her too much --- anyway her mom gave her up when she was born to her aunt so her mom was never in the pic...her dad moved to another state and never seen again -- she had cancer and one of her ovaries was removed and she was told she would never have kids -- wellllll lets just say they have 3 boys now and docs are still shaking their heads as to how! anyway she has told me so many times over the past 10 years she never knew this is what a family is supposed to be like and she is very close to all of us ...and she was only 16 when she met my bro...
sometimes this like this happen for a reason that no one understands until years after the fact ..sounds like she is a great girl that needed someone to care
