OHHHHHH THAT'S REAL NICE ANN!!!! YOU ARE QUITE DEVIOUS ......

Oh thank you for YOUR NICE REPLY....ANN'S NOT BEING SO NICE..... Anyway, we actually watched some videos of the obsbourne lights and the stuff going on at MVMCP. Everything looks so pretty. I would definitely look forward to that if we choose December.

Hey, I'm not the one who keeps flip flopping like a fish out of water......I'm just saying.....hee hee!!!!!

:dance3: Hahaha! That's me all around. I don't have an easy time making decisions like this. Which is odd, because my job is all about making decisions and I can do that just fine. It's decisions like When to take a Disney trip. Halloween or Christmas....what shirt for the party....what color flip flops....dumb stuff like that. I annoy my friends when we go shoppig together. When I ask them to come with me they cringe. :rotfl: I wish you were closer Ann, i'd make you come with me one day :woohoo: Then you wouldn't think my Disney decision making was too bad at all. Picking out clothes is FARRRRR worse!!!!! I do wish our trip dates were overlapping! I'd love to hang out in Disney..... Don't worry i'd stay away from the gift shops. Maybe one day!

So i've been reading about the Vinylmations. I saw them in someones TR and thought they were adorable. My girls LOVE little things like that. I then found out you could trade them too. I guess you don't know which one you'll get until you open the box. I think i'm going to order them each one and give it to them at some point before the trip to start their collection. I know for a fact they'll want these little guys....adorable!!!

Does anyone have one? If so post a picture of yours! I want the Toy Story ones!

LOL-- Pam and Ann, you guys are SO funny! Haha, I love hearing how indecisive you are! I'm the same way with shopping-- I'll agonize over a t-shirt purchase. A couple of weeks ago, I stood in the Gap Outlet for a half hour, staring at a black cami and a white one, trying to pick. The people who worked there must have thought I was insane!!
I've never got into Vinylmation, but it seems like a fun thing for your kids to collect. If I remember, they loved pressing pennies, right? The same thing with many more options! The Buzz Vinylmation is SO cute-- I love the Muppets ones, too!

Joining in! :goodvibes

Sounds like you have some tough decisions ahead of you! I think, no matter which holiday you choose, you and your family are going to have a blast. But it does sound as if half your family wants Halloween and half want Christmas.
Wouldn't it be nice if Disney could just go straight from one to the other? :rotfl:

I think Vinylmations will be very cool collections for your kids. The element of surprise in not knowing which one you're going to get will make the trade a little bit of an adventure.

Oh Pam...you don't know how much I wished I lived closer to you!! I envy Hope & Karen's relationship so much. They get to go Disney days and plan together...even though Hope isn't going, they are still going to do Disney days. I'd go shopping with you anytime!!! I'm a commando shopper usually....I go in with a list and come out with what I need. I'm a "poop or get off the pot" kind of girl!! :lmao: I would love to shop for your girls!! Victoria is out of all those girly dresses and bows and such. She's a real tomboy and I miss all those outfits I used to buy. Now shopping for others is something I can do all day long!!! I'm still trying to see if Canobie Park can be doable for our family on the same day that you are going. Even though we can't be in Disney together this time around, we can meet at Canobie.....maybe..... :confused3

Hmmmm.....just to proove how NOT MEAN I really am....here is a picture of the 2 vinylmations we got last year....

They are kind of cute! I do know that at least at the Pin Traders in DTD you can trade them. They had a big bucket with a hole in it and you would trade yours in for another one that you pick out of the bucket. You can't see them before you pick it, though. Victoria didn't trade hers because she liked the ones she got. Yep, it's totally random as far as which ones you get. I still like to pin trade instead. With the vinylmations, you have to find room at home for them.....pins are so much more compact. ;)

Yeah Kylie.....Pam and I are quite the pair, aren't we? I really think the Muppet ones are adorable! Maybe I'll buy a few for myself this year....Oh Lord...another Disney collection.... :scared1:

Oh yes, I even aggravate myself while i'm shopping. I could spend an hour...have a whole outfit picked out and then put it back and start from scratch. I usually leave happy though. :rolleyes1

Yes half want Christmas and half want Halloween. Guess what I want......I'LL GIVE YOU ALL ONE GUESS....COME ON ANN I KNOW YOU'LL GET THIS....HALF OF ME WANTS HALLOWEEN AND HALF OF ME WANTS CHRISTMAS....YA KNOW CAUSE CAN'T DECIDE ON ANYTHING....:rotfl:
I think my kids will love the vinylmations too, they love little wierd collectibles of any type.

One day this pair will make it to Disney together and we'll have a blast with all of our girls .....oh yeah and our husbands!!!!

I'm still reading, it's just a crazy week here with petsitting b/c it's spring break! Can't wait to see which holiday you decide on!!! :thumbsup2

So I started making this fun list!

Tower of Terror
Rock n Rollercoaster
The art of animation
Star Tours
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Toy Story Mania
Muppets 3d
Beauty and the Beast show
The great movie ride
The backlot tour
Indiana Jones
Lights motor action
Honey I shrunk the Kids playground

Those are the one I definitely want to do. This is the park that we didn't get much time at last trip because of heat and then severe rain, thunder and lightening. We didn't get to do much at all, so I really can't wait to get back to this park.

We'll definitely want to catch the parade and Fantasmic. When we went last time it was SOOOOO HOT in the afternoons that we didn't catch one parade. Sitting on a curb in the sweltering sun was not what anyone was willing to do. So i'm looking forward to the parades! I'm of course looking forward to the characters we'll see there.

Does anyone have advice on the Backlot tour and the Great Movie ride. There are parts of both of them that make me want to do them but I never hear too much about them?

That's a great list you have going. Mine doesn't look too different! ;) I've never seen any of the parades except the one at MK so I definitely want DO for our family!

I absolutely LOVE the Backlot tour. I can't explain why really, but it's neat to see all the movie "stuff". The *surprise* part of the ride is fun too, IMO! I think your family would enjoy it, and it's a nice way to relax for a few. However, I wouldn't wait in line for more than 20 min or so to do this ride!

As for The Great Movie Ride this one is just so-so for me. My best friend on the other hand would ride it over and over again. I am not a big movie person in general. I always fall asleep during movies...even really good ones, so the movie memoribilia you see while in the queue and the ride itself just didn't appeal to me. There are so many good movies and "classics" that I have never seen that I think I maybe missed out on parts of the ride because I was oblivious. LOL If your faimly is into movies (and I don't meet animated Disney movies) then I say go for it. HTH!

Thanks! The backlot tour pics i've seen do look pretty cool. I'm going to youtube it. I'm actually watching the great movie ride on youtube right now (well parts of it don't wanna ruin the whole thing) and as i'm not a huge movie fan, Manny is and he's GONNA LOVE THIS. This is right up his alley! I'm excited I watched the video, it's definitely something we MUST do now, especially for him. I think me and the kids will enjoy it too.

If you've never done the Backlot Tour, it's something you want to do at least once. The prop room is very cool...your kids would enjoy it! And Catastrophe Canyon is always a good time!

The Great Movie Ride is fun...the storyline is engaging and I love the Wizard of Oz scene!

I'd say both are Must-Do's at least one time! :thumbsup2

Thanks! Yes looking into both of them got me pretty excited. They're both staying on our must do list. I think driving through those movie scenes while they're being acted out looks sooo cool. And the backlot express will definitely be enjoyable for all of us!

The girls are home from school today, it was Sam's turn throwing up last night and I was up all night couging. So when my alarm went off this morning for the other two, I was like....NO WAY!!!! We were just checking out all of the Vinalymations. Oh my! The girls want them so bad, I knew they would. AND we checked out the website and Fall of 2011 the HAUNTED MANSION SERIES is being released. EVEN MORE EXCITING!!! I'm definitely going to order them one before the trip. We'll have our first excitement of opening up a surprise box.

We also watched a tower of terror video on monday night AND guess what. Emily may be backing out on me. She will definitely do Rock n Rollercoaster, but isn't sure about ToT. I never wanted to ride that until she wanted to, now I really want to. The other 2 say they're going to do it, but I think they'll chicken out when we're standing in front of it!

I love the Great Movie Ride! I know people think it's cheesy, but I think it's relaxing and fun. I love the Wizard of Oz bit!
I could personally take or leave the Backlot tour. Fun to ride once, no need to repeat.

Holy Poop!!! I try to work for ONE DAY and there is a bunch of posts to your ptr….ugh!!! I haven’t even had the chance to comment on ANYTHING yet. This darn work stuff!!! --- really getting in the way of my Disney activities!

I am soooo sorry to hear that Sam is sick now. Poor baby! I’m also sorry to hear that you’ve been coughing. It totally sucks to be sick! If it’s not one thing it’s another in our household. Right now my tummy is doing some flip flops, so who knows if I’m going to get sick or not. I can tell you one thing ---- I will NOT BE SICK IN DISNEY!!! No way!!!

Ok, regarding DHS --- MY FAVORITE PARK!!! Your must do’s are awesome and I wouldn’t change anything….well, we don’t do the playground, but we used to. I haven’t seen the new parade, but I did see it on YouTube. I’m really not a big parade person, so this one doesn’t excite me too much and (I’m probably going to get flamed here) but we’ve seen Fantasmic and I really don’t see the need to fight the crowds (even with the Fantasmic dining package) to see it again, not unless I hear about the show being totally changed.

I absolutely LOVE the Backlot Studio Tour. I am such a movie buff that I so love looking at all the things there. You’ll see props in the warehouse and the different vehicles used in various movies. You’ll go behind Catastrophe Canyon which is amazing. I think it’s so worth it. I really like the first part, but then again, Peter and I were chosen to participate and “clean” the ship with bombs going off around us. I just love seeing how movie magic is done. It sounds as though Manny will love it just as much as I do. I think the kids will like it too!

Ah, the Great Movie Ride --- a classic! It’s fun to go out front of the theater outside and see the handprints of all kinds of different stars. Again, being a big Hollywood fan, I get so excited over this! It’s neat to see different costumes used in the movies, too. Now the one area I think could use some updating is the movie reel they play over and over…..it gets old if you are in line for 30 minutes or more…..but a lot of the movies they feature in the reel are the movie scenes you will be going through during the ride, so I guess if they update those, they’d have to update the whole thing! I hear they have a “western” side of the ride that I have never been on in the oh, 17 or so times I’ve been on this ride. I always have been in the “mobster” scene side. I guess you can ask to go to that side, but, from what I’ve read, it’s only operating at certain times and there may be a longer wait. I seriously didn’t even know it existed until just recently. Too funny. I always wished I would be in movies so again, I love it!

So, Vinylmations are coming out with the Haunted Mansion series?? OMG!! OMG!!! OMG!!! Yeah, I’ll be getting those ones! I love the Haunted Mansion and to actually have vinyls in them…..oh boy!!!! I wonder how early Fall it will be…..I really want to get them when I am down there. OH, but they probably won’t be out yet…..they’ll probably release them when Pam is down there, though…..even though she can’t decide on a Holiday to celebrate while she’s there. Heck, she can’t even decide when she is going…..what’s up with that, anyways??? I mean really!!! Ugh!!! Makes you wonder if she REALLY DESERVES to go at all!!!

I LOVE the Wizard of Oz, i'll have to make sure my kids watch it at least one more time before we go. I've seen it a million times when I was little. It was a favorite.

Ok so I was enjoying your very informative post on the backlot tour and the great movie ride. I can't wait to ride them!!!!! They sound like a lot of fun, and I remember your pics from the backlot tour. I wanna try to get Manny picked.

And yes, Haunted Mansion Vinylmations..... :dance3: They didn't say when in the fall:dance3:?
