Don't know if this is where I ask this...but here goes. I just got off the phone with someone at Disney, I was asking some questions about the tickets. I wanted to know if we are arriving on Nov 24 but not going to a park, when do the tickets get activated? We aren't going to a theme park until Nov 25 (Sat). Also we are buying the park hopper option and the water parks and more. I asked if we would still be able to go to Pleasure Island on Nov 24 (fri)? Well the person on the phone then told me that we could go to Pleasure Island and still start our tickets for the theme parks the next day. Then she told me that you had to be 21 to get into Pleasure Island. I said yes DH and I are and we are bringing our DD and her bestfriend. She told me that they wouldn't be allowed in Pleasure Island if they weren't 21. Does anyone know anything about this? I know this sounds a little confusing, but if anyone could help I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Sounds like someone that was misinformed...

First, The ticket is officially activated the first time it goes through a turnstile (ANY turnstile) so if you are going to PI on the 24th the ticket will be activated on the 24th... HOWEVER, you have 14 days from the first date of use to use it before it expires (unless you by no expiration). It is not like the old tickets that had to be used in consecutive days and would expire based on the number of days the ticket was for. The MYW tickets are good for 14 days from first use...

Second, PI is "open" to anyone of any age, but guests under 18 must be accompanied by an Adult. There is no ticket required just to go walk around PI, the ticket is to allow entrance into the clubs. Your DD and her friend are more than welcome to join you at most of the PI clubs! Mannequins and BET are for guests 21 and older so they will not be allowed into either of those, all the other clubs they are welcome to as long as you are with them.

Hope that helps... Have fun on your trip!

OK first thank you so much for the quick response!! So even though she is using the water parks and more part, it still activates the ticket? But she will still have the eight days of theme park tickets that we are buying left? That doesn't get touched? I know that these sound like stupid questions...but we've never had to buy tickets that aren't length of stay!!! Thanks again!

No problem, these are great questions, so don't feel bad asking them. If you are used to the old ticketing where you had to use it or lose it within the length of the ticket itself, it can be kinda confusing, better to ask then to stress over it later :thumbsup2

That is correct, the ticket will be activated, but it will not touch the theme park portion, she will still have the number of days that you purchased. They are completely seperate from each other. It will only take a Theme Park ticket at a Theme Park and it will only Take a Water Park and more at one of the locations that uses those. The turnstile knows what is on the ticket and what it needs, it will only take what it needs to get you in to where you are trying to go... Does that make sense? So yes, the ticket will be active, but it will only take a PI ticket from you, it will not affect the Theme Park at all, the only affect it will have on the Theme Park is that you will then have 13 days to use the ticket because you activated it on the 24th.

Thanks so much, you are a very well informed person!!! I'm glad I asked because the person on the phone from Disney wasn't to clear. Especially when she told me you had to be 21 to get into Pleasure Island. I didn't think that they changed the way it was, but I had to ask. We love going to the Adventurer's Club and know the girls would love it!!!

Again thank you so much for your quick response!!!
