I read somewhere that Pleasure Island will be trying something different this summer in that the gates would be open and you wouldn't need a ticket to walk around -- just to get into the clubs.

Can I use my Plus options to get in the clubs? We want to go to the Comedy Warehouse but don't know how this new system works.

Can anybody clue me in?

You should still be able to use your plus option to get a wristband to get into the clubs. :)

They have decided to do a test run of keeping the gates to Pleasure Island open for anyone. However, in order to get in to any of the clubs, you'd need to purchase a ticket (wrist band) that grants admission. Old rules still apply as far as age limitations to select clubs.

You'll definitely be able to use your Plus option for the wrist band!

This is getting mixed reviews by the way. Some say the lines are too long to get in to clubs but I suspect that has more to do with the new system and simply getting used to it.

Let us know how it is!

You take your ticket to the club of your choice and there they will give you a wristband and mark your hand. When you enter the Club they scan your ticket.

You need to have your ticket out each time you get into line for a club (well Comedy Warehouse anyway) and then you also need to have that ticket available to be scanned each time you enter any club that evening (it still only uses the ONE PLUS feature though).

I found it inconvenient to have to have my ticket out and available all the time. I went the weekend after this started in May and am going again in a couple of weeks.

Hmm...I was wondering about something. Since they now allow anybody into PI, how are the crowds. Do you really think little children should walk around PI with their family?

My husband and I were there a few weekends ago and I definitely didn't like the new open gates policy. There were so many kids! Sorry to those of you with kids, but it just kills the mood a little when you're out to party and you're tripping over strollers. I guess all of the extra people in the streets adds to the festive atmosphere, but it was also very crowded. I bet they're making a lot of money on the drinks though - the lines to buy drinks at the outdoor drink stands were long!

Kids have always been allowed into PI, so that hasnt changed.
