Pleaseeee Need Help W/paint

Well i finally decided to try my hand at the DISigns, I am not having the easiest time and thought someone can tell me what i am doing wrong pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee.....
i found a ton of templates so i thought i would go with some thing real simple and do a bookmark but then i gave up and thought i would try a sucker wrapper i figured it might be easier to get the square boxes filled.......
this is my sample, can someone please tell me why when i go to FILL IT its not filling in the corners? and is the only way to get the image bigger, etc. is to move it around and stretch it w/the arrows

NOTICE THE BOOKMARKS CORNERS ALSO, THANK YOU ANYONE THAT CAN HELP ME, BTW I AM JUST USING PLAIN OLD MICROSOFT PAINT

If memory serves MS Paint's fill feature does not have a tolerance control. It fills in one color for another but won't fill in the next pixel unless it is EXACTLY the same. What appears to be one color to our eyes can be completely different to a computer that can ID over 65,000 different colors. If the original image was a .jpg it's very likely that the corners have "junk" in them. The only way around this in Paint is to paint over them by hand.
