please please please PLEASE tell me I'm NOT the only one who just realized that both castles in DLR and WDW were meant to be different?



I always thought they were both supposed to be Cinderella Castle.
Come to find out through the Disney Vacation Planning Video that the castle in DLR is Sleeping Beauty castle.
I feel stupid.
Haha.

I knew it was sleeping beauty castle because if you go through it, there is the story of Sleeping Beauty.

I've known for a while, but I personally think Cinderella in WDW is more magical.
Sleeping Beauty, is one of those films that I, and many people I know either never saw or never liked as a kid.
But Cinderella?
Most kids idolize her xD

ya, the DLR one is sleeping beauty's. I only really know it cause Aurora's dress is pink and the castle is pink. and Cinderella's dress is blue and a little bit white and so is the castle.

I never knew it until I read it in my Magic Kingdom Imagineer book that I got at WDW. I've never been to DLR, I've never seen the castle.

i've known for quite a while but what shocked me was DLRP castle was Sleeping Beauty's. I always thought it was Belle's!

ya, the DLR one is sleeping beauty's. I only really know it cause Aurora's dress is pink and the castle is pink. and Cinderella's dress is blue and a little bit white and so is the castle.

actually the castle is now a tannish brown colour instead of white... has been since about November last year...

I knew, but what really shocks me is how teeny tiny mini my...ni (sorry, trying to make a rhyme there ) Sleeping Beauty's castle is!

The last time I went to DLR was last August, and before that I hadn't been since I was 11. So after many trips to WDW between then and last August, I totally forgot how small Sleeping Beauty's castle was! I honestly didn't say a word, I was just standing there staring at it like, "No...way."

But to back on topic Yeah, I knew that they were two different ones. But I can see how you can make the mistake. I just remember from the walk-through Sleeping Beauty scenes inside.

I personally like Aurora better than cinderella. Yes they're different, but DL was Walts original.

apparently belle's in in france. but people will argue its another sleeping beauty castle. -shrug-

and its not so bad, the castle actually looks fantastic.
and it will never lose that signature blue. it cinderella's favorite color. :3

it would make complete & utter sense for belle's to be in DLRP...but i've never been there, so who knows

I knew they were different, but I just recently found out that DLR's was "sleeping beauty's" castle.
I agree with Hilary, when I was little I never liked sleeping beauty, but CINDERELLA! now she was IT! and always will be.
The story of cinderella's alot more 'magical' IMHO.

anyways...back on topic...i'd really like to go to DLR one day to check out the differences.

I actually just found out bout this about a year ago. I felt dumb when I learned it.

And I was thinking about you today. At my Beta Club (Academic/Charity thing) meeting today, we had to decide what our major project would be, and one of our choices was Make A Wish, and, of course, I voted for it. And now, it's our project.
