I voted for "Disney Resorts-countdowns and live reports" because I feel there will be no confusion as to what the board holds.

No major format changes for Resorts. Just adding a sub board for all the countdowns, happy dances, when are you going threads.

It should make it easier to find resort planning information and then have a special place to share the excitement of your trip to WDW.

I think you should call the "Annoying Board".

I'm glad the resorts board will be getting rid of the pointless "happy dances", etc. and I am quite sure I will never have any reason to visit the new board. This will, however, free up the "junk" from the resorts board, which is a good thing (and probably the point!).

Hi, I didn't vote because none of the title suggestions include the three things the new board will apparently include, such as Countdowns, Dances, Live Reports. The closest choice is the Disney Resorts Countdowns and Live Reports, but people might still choose to put the dances on the main resort board if it isn't spelled out for them -- just my opinion

hmmmm.. maybe in the future we will finally have the "refill mugs/pool hopping/guests more than room required/take child out of school or not/children age 3 going on 2/Smoking and NON smoking room/Resort VS. Resort/et cetera... We should also have Resort Debate Board.

I would also like to see the word "Happy Dance...Countdown...Live Report" all in one title. I didn't vote.

Once the new name is decided on and the board created all those sorts of posts will be moved to the new board by the moderators.

Before the poll was posted we had a thread where people could suggest names for the new boards. The moderators decided the top names from those submitted.

I don't see a resort debate board.

I didn't vote either. The resort forums have me all confused these days. When people ask about the what is included in packages or other questions that to me certainly have to do with planning (not about getting the best deal), the threads get moved to the rates and codes board. Sometimes short reports about the resorts get moved to Trip reports although I haven't seen that as much lately. What is OK to ask or post on the resort board?

I can see having a subboard about countdowns, happy dances etc. but live reports on the resorts or just back this is what's new at CBR type reports seem to me to be a great help in knowing what to expect at your resort. I know those are some of my favorite things to read on the resort board.

Anyway, I'm sure being a moderator is a lot of work and thanks to all of you who do it.

If you have some suggestions of where the posts should go you could let us know. We want the board to be friendly and helpful when planning your trip.

We have gotten complaints that sometimes you can't find the information because of all the other threads. The new board should make it easier.

I agree. I think the live reports and just backs belong on the regular resort board and the other posts which do not supply helpful information (dances and countdowns) belong on the new board. Not to knock those who love posting those things, but some folks would rather not have to sort thru the dances and countdowns in order to get to the meat of the matter. *sorry*

Actually, I wouldn't want to be a moderator right about now because there are so many ways to categorize all this and you can't please everyone. I know I find it a tad annoying that some of the specific official resort threads have turned into chats more so than information on the specific resort.

All that said, I love Disboards. Thanks for doing such a great job!

OK, after my whine earlier, chatting with safetymom via PM and reading Californiadreaming's new sticky at the top of the resort board, I understand the intent better and voted.

So many cute names but I voted for Disney Resorts - Countdown and Live Reports because I think it is the easiest title for a newcomer to decipher.

I am pleased that the happy dances will be on another board. I probably sound crabby about this but another of my "things" with many of the post headlines is when a poster titles his thread- "I just got back and...," forcing the reader to click on the post to figure out the point. It may get a lot of views but to me it is silly. It would be nice to just read the headline fully and decide if you want to open the thread. Just a thought. Threehearts

Hi That used to bug me a little too, but now you can place your cursor over the title of the thread and for a few moments the first few lines of the thread will appear in a "bubble" so you can get more of an idea of what the thread is about.
