What are the crowds like the week of Nov 24-29 (the day after Thanksgiving)
We always go in the summer and it is soooo busy. We are hoping for it to be a kindof slow time. What do you think? :confused3

Starting on the late Sunday, Monday after Thanksgiving, begins the traditionally the slowest time of the year there, up till about mid Dec or so. Hopefully this will be my 8th year there at this time.

Well, according to the touring plans dot com website's crowd level calendar, the 24th and 25th will be pretty busy with peak wait times at the most popular rides in the 75 to 85 minute range. The 26th will be less busy, and the rest of your listed dates will have peak waits in the 45 to 55 minute range.

Of course, that's just a prediction based on previous patterns. :confused3

Two to three days after Thanksgiving is considered "Disney slow time".....anytime the children are off from school turns out to be a busy time at Disney.....try for mid October early November, April (unless you go for Easter week or Spring Vacation)......Look at the school calendars and pick a time when the children are in school.....if you have children, ask the teachers for their homework assignments for the time you'll be away....have them do it before you leave or while you are traveling......

When I called one year, someone at CRO told me the most crowded time is the Saturday before Thanksgiving to the Sunday after Thanksgiving. As with all holidays, the closer you get up to and after the actual day, the larger the crowds.

Having done Thanksgiving week several times and the week after once (last year), it is my humble opinion that the week after Thanksgiving is MUCH calmer then the week prior. Friday will be UGLY and Saturday will be a little better. As you get to Monday and later, the crowds thin out considerably.

If you can shift your touring back by a day (or 2) you'll experience lighter crowds and shorter lines...

PS. Please take me with you!
