Please tell me what you think about going in the middle of JULY?

Anyway, we were in WDW for 1 day in July 2002...July 3rd actually. Honestly it was hotter and more humid here in MA than it was in WDW

Camcolt I know exactly what you are talking about!!

The Summer of 2002. It was 100 degrees in Connecticut but only 80+ degrees in Florida. We were at WDW July 4 - 11 that year and it was so much nicer there than back home . .

If that is the only time you can go, then go. I have been in June, July, August, October, and November and I would soooner go Oct and November. I think you get more worn out in the summer and we did all the things everyone mentions, took breaks, drank lots and lots of water but it still was very very hot. October and November were alot nicer because you didnt' have to worry about the heat and the crowds.

We have been in July. Agreed, it is very hot and crowded.
If I were doing the planning and could avoid July or any summer month, I would. If I had an opportunity to go in July when I wasn't planning to go, I would. It is hot, but I Can bear it, to be in Disney.
Mind ya, I live in Charleston, SC. I gets hot here too.

Since I am a teacher I am restricted to the times I can travel, I go just about every year in July. It is hot in NY in the summer too, I'd rather be hot and having fun than hot at home. I have been to WDW in September (before I returned to work after having my children), April for Spring Break, May for a long weekend. I go most frequently in July though because it doesn't interfere withthe kids school or my job. It really isn't that rough, the hours are longer so you can escape the sun and there are so many indoor attractions that you don't spent that much time outdoors anyway.
A plan, a poncho, and plenty of water and we're good to go! We plan for fastpasses to avoid crowds, bring our Brita water bottles, go prepared for the sudden summer downpours and it really is all good!;)

Been there, done that and going back!

Remember to take extra sneakers/ sandals as they do not dry out over night after being in an afternoon rain.

I was only there once in the summer. I am not sure I'd do it again.

I remember how miserable all the children were in the heat. It seemed like everywhere you turned there was a crying child and parents too oblivious to take them somewhere to cool off.

I couldn't drink enough water. Ugh, just thinking about it again is making me cringe...

I don't really remember having that much fun on that trip, not compared to the times I've been in October and April.

But I don't like the humidity, some people don't mind.

Good luck!

Karen

I went last July. I won't be doing it again. I just couldn't handle the heat... it was too much for my tired body, and really wore me down. I do have health issues, however, and this adds to it. I didn't enjoy myself...

Its hot at home too (Texas) but I dont stand outside in lines for 12 hours during the day there, I go from airconditioned place to airconditioned place, LOL! So its different.

Lots of people do it every year and love it! Its all personal preference and stamina =) I ain't got it =)

July is hot, hot, hot. However, drinking lots of water and finding the shade anytime you can helps. It is a beautiful month to go though, and I think you'll have a wonderful time.
