please tell me this isn't true!!! RE: MK fireworks

i just read a post from someone asking for help with 3 dayitinerary and one of her responses was that she should try to go to MK on saturday because in january during the weekdays, MK doesn't have fireworks at night only on weekends. but the parades do run daily.
i checked disney's website calendar and it says they do show it every night.

i will be in downtown disney the saturday we are there for DS bday and doing mk on a thursday and then again monday night in january. will we be missing the fireworks?

I would double check the schedule, but usually fireworks are everynight. At MK, it's spectro you have to worry about. I know when we are there in Feb, spectro is only playing one night. Good luck!

fire works run everday of the year. it's spectro that only happens on the weekends and the occation weekday in the off season.

As you said, the Disney calendar shows Wishes every night in January. Wishes was every night when I was there two Januarys ago. Spectromagic - the parade - isn't shown every night in January, but it is shown some weeknights and some weekends.

No, the fireworks are shown every night in January (every day of the year actually), weather permitting. The Spectromagic parade is only shown on Monday, Thursday and Saturday though and is shown right before the Wishes fireworks.

I remember a couple of years ago that Disney had cut back on fireworks to only a few days each week and it was a real mess.
What happened is those nights were absolutely slammed with guests,
That was a part of the cost cutting that has been so rampant with all companies.
However the backlash was so unpopular with guests making the trip of their lifetimes and not seeing fireworks that they brought them back for every night!
